Yeah, yeah, but it's K.C. and you can't believe everything you read anyway.

Also in the article, Hoiberg's staff is expected to be Jim Boylen (from Spurs), Pete Myers (free agent), Mike Wilhelm (retained from Thibodeau), Ed Pinckney (retained from Thibodeau) and Charlie Henry (from Iowa State).

Hope K.C.'s right. I completely expect Butler to return. I'd love to see Dunleavy re-signed. The team is too light on competent wings and Dunleavy is better than competent.

Of course, the idea that the Bulls might pay the LT is pure fantasy...never happen (except that one time).

I don't have any doubt that management told KC they had pemission to enter the tax. But it looks to me like this is just posturing in the hope that opposing teams won't view there as being a fire sale on Taj Gibson. I think Gibson is moved before the start of next season and I don't think the Bulls get anything of substance in return.

Dunleavy was a really good role player last year I thought and our best three point shooter. He's an asset on a "win now" team.

However, its going to be a long season hearing people complain about McDermott not getting enough minutes if Dunleavy is once again better than him. Its tough to do "win now" and "win later" at the same time well. Most teams, the Bulls included, have a hard enough time just doing one of those things well.

If you insist on a Win Now or Win Later call, the Bulls are definitely in Win Now mode. It's fair to compare them to the Indiana Pacers of the early oughts.
