After viewing some other OT food threads, had to post this (couldn't find anything relevant via S2 search):

Why is BV so damn good?! Haven't ate there for 7 years, but I know those yummy sandwiches are waiting to get in me!!!

Seriously, Burgerville is THE best burger chain in the USA if you ask me (and I'm a burger freak). Just, the eatery environment, the food quality, the space, the shakes, the fact that they serve booze, what's not to love?!

My fav memory there is chowing a burger right before the last blazers home game I went to in March 2011. Was already lit up, but that sandwich and a brewski elevated me to another plane.......

I remember being told they were expanding farther north into WA when I was there a few years ago, but nothing actually happened. C'mon BV!.......

    I think its thier sauce.

I am a big fan of in and out... for one reason. Toasted buns.
Toasted buns are so much better than the soft and soggy buns you get everywhere else.

I put burgerville as second though and thsts withstanding thhe fact that my fsther once chipped a tooth and sued them because he bit into a burger in the late 80’s and sctually bit into a nut in his burger. Like a nut and bolt nut.
I was too young then but man what a joke.

Burgerville nutted in my fathers muth.

lol that's rather unfortunate :) I've only been to in-and-out once, just north of San Diego. I'd heard about them for a while, even had a buddy from Cal who had an in-and-out t shirt for years. I remember being very underwhelmed with their menu. Like, there was literally 9 or 10 things on the menu: burger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, fries, double fries, etc. Food was ok, but I was like "that's it?"

Nuts and bolts aside, I still dream of Burgerville. The first time I ate there was when I was super hung over after a night downtown in P-town. I got some guacamole burger that made me feel like everything was gonna be ok!

Another joint worthy of mention - at least in the Tacoma area - is Herfy's (used to call it Herpes when I'd go for lunch). They have this sauce for fries...fry sauce...oooooohh......so good....and the burgers are grubbin'. They also have teriyaki and some REAL good milkshakes. Their fries are crinkle-cut and crispy..........yuuuuuuuum.

In N Out is ok. Whenever we'd bring home some Burgerville sauce we'd buy In N Out to put it on. Closest thing to Burgerville here.

That is the biggest downfall of in and out. Lack of menu options. With that said, their fries are made fresh right in front of you and they can perfect what they do because of the lack of variety.

Ever watch bar rescue? They would almost always pair down the food and drink menu of the venues So they could improve the quality of the options they do provide.

But really. Is there any better burger than the one bbqed in the backyard On a nice sunny evening?

I smelled the neighbor last night. First bbq smell this year. I almost went caveman, knocking the fence down seeking out the grilling meat. Lol.

I usually get a guacamole, swiss, and bacon burger at Mike's Drive-In when I am in the Milwaukie area.

    This from Wikipedia -

As of October 2016, Burgerville currently has 47 locations throughout Oregon and Washington.

There are locations throughout Washington including 5 in the Vancouver area. I drove by one the other day.

Of all the fast food hamburgers Burgerville is by far and away the best.

It used to be that you could ask for tokens to play the juke box full of music from the 50s and early 60s but I didn't see that at the last one I went to recently in Beaverton.

However, if you wanted one of the greatest hamburgers ever, you had to go to either the old Gene and Joe's (now Tebo's near Oregon City on Hwy 99E) or the old Carnival (now out of buisness). Tebo's is not the same as the old Gene and Joe's which was located near the old Bomber gas station. Tebo's is more for old people and the building has been demolished where the old Carnival used to stand.

There's a place in Lake Oswego off Kruse Way in a little shopping center that serves a good hamburger but I have no idea where to get a great hamburger anymore.

I used to eat roast beast about 300 days a year. I've grilled in the snow and the rain just because I love grilled food. Can't grill anymore. Too many medical problems. I also have lost my appetite for meat. I still like it but can't eat much of it. Sigh, I miss the old days.

Can't stand guacamole or bacon on my hamburger. Love bacon at breakfast and guacamole with good corn chips and a nice beer.

Burgerville is only in Oregon and Washington. Why they aren't all over the world is a mystery to me.

I just wish they'd make their shakes bigger. They use real ice cream and you can tell the difference. Anybody who uses shake mix ought to be fined over a million dollars.
