Can't have a better first thread in this forum than one congratulating Burnley on a massive upset win over Manchester United in their Premier League home opener! Burnley stunned ManU today besting the defending champions 1-0 on a volley goal by Robbie Blake in the 19th minute. Burnley held off United for the following hour-plus including a thrilling penalty kick save by Brian "The Beast" Jensen against Michael Carrick. I'm not sure why Owen or Rooney didn't take it instead--especially Rooney, who was in line for his 100th goal with ManU. Jensen was rewarded for the performance with Man of the Match honours. This marks the first time Burnley have defeated United in 41-years.
