I can see white slipping all the way down to the bottom of the first. Fat and lazy is not good for a running back.

DeAngelo Williams is falling too, not because he's doing bad, just teams are picking up RBs (Cards Edge, Vikes Taylor, Ravens Anderson/Lewis, etc etc), so I think it could be possible for him to fall that late. He'd be the steal of the draft if he did.

I wouldn't blame anyone if they didn't, I listed the facts rather than the opinions which is what most fans should look for). LenDale could very well drop into the 2nd round if Maroney goes before him. Just think of the teams that could take a RB:HoustonCarolinaIndianapolisJacksonvilleGreen BayNew EnglandDenverNew York JetsSan FranciscoBut who is actually likely to take a RB?HoustonJacksonvilleDenverIndianapolisIf one of them passes on a RB, one of the "big 4" will fall into the 2nd round. Maybe to the Jets at 35, Packers at 36, 49ers at 37, or maybe even the Browns at 43
That 39" verticle jump by Winston Justice is impressive. We'll definitely see him getting some tackle eligible TDs.
I think its very possible the Jets could take a Runningback in the low end of Round 1. Maybe either Laurence Maroney or LenDale White should they fall that far, although im personally hoping for either Mangold or one of the LB/DE tweeners at #29 (Someone like Lawson, who reminds me alot of Willie McGinest from the NE Mangini Defense)

I've watched film on him, and I can't put my finger on it, but there is just something about him I don't like. On film, I like Whimbley much better, even though he doesn't test as well on paper.I'm in the Mangold boat too, a tweener will be there at 35, but Mangold might not.An I absolutely do not want White. I'd take Addai over him at this point.

I wouldnt be mad if we picked him.
i have heard that Mangini likes Bobby Carpenter, since he is a Vrabel-type of guy, which Mangini had in NE....maybe MAngold/Carpenter at 29 and 35 is a very real possibily

Like Ron Dayne, Maurice Clarett, etc. Plenty of RB's can dominate the college level and then, because of their lazy work ethic, bomb in the pros. And the only way he's like the Bus is in his size. Bettis is and was strong.

He always has been fairly good at pounding the ball up the gut, the problem was that when he was on the field every team knew he was getting the ball, (since he couldnt do anything else in NY) so theyd stack up against him. If he was only a decent blocker he would be a good starting runningback in this league IMO since teams wouldnt need to stack up against the run as much when hes on the field. Maurice Clarett was a different story. The guy was a complete moron who kept getting in trouble with the law, but there was nothing wrong with his work ethic. The reason he ran a bad 40 time at the combine was because he was so ripped with muscle that it took away from his speed. Thats why he excelled in all other areas except the interview and the runs. He never really got a fair chance from the Broncos because of the emergance of Ron Dayne and because he got injured in training camp and then got in more trouble with the Law. LenDale White is big, strong, and a pounder who can and will wear out teams when he is given the ball 25 times a game. He doesnt break as many tackles as Bettis does, but he is also faster then Bettis ever was and you can tell that just by watching him play. On the field he is a force to be reackoned with.
I think LenDale at this point is only a 3rd and short back. He might fall to 2nd rd, but I still think he will slip in 1st rd.
The difference between Bettis and White though is that Bettis is strong. Bettis literally used to arm wrestle his Offensive Linemen and WIN. Bettis can be seen on highlight film making Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, and Jon Vilma buckle under his strength when they collide 1-on-1. LenDale White can move a pile at the college level, but in many 1-on-1 hits with the Texas LB crew White was the one who ended up on bottom most of the time. And those are college backers, not the best LB's in the NFL.I've tried to find it online, but I can't, the photo of Urlacher being thrown to the ground by Bettis, with Bettis still on his two feet. Such a hit is standard by Jerome though.

wow, Winston Justice looks like a good pick for the Ravens. He looks to be very strong and athletic for an OT and could play along side Ogden so the Ravens can go back to their pounding the ball up the middle running style.
Hearing about LenDale White was very disappointing but anyway Bush looks very good coming into the season and should tear shit up in the NFL
