Someone light the fire please..........this guy is clueless as a monkey in a Bear Cage. Next thing he will be investing in is a Shit Zoo- Hal Steinbrenner believes the Yankees could be buyers at the trade deadline 21 Jun, 2016 in Yankees News by Delia Enriquez Coming into Tuesday night’s game against the Colorado Rockies, the Yankees are 34-35, in fourth place in the American League East and trail the Baltimore Orioles by 6.5 games for first place. That would almost give an indication the team is leaning towards being sellers at the trade deadline late next month. However, Hal Steinbrenner doesn’t see the Yankees as sellers, and believes the team will be buyers by the time the August 1st deadline rolls around. “I believe we’re going to be right smack in the middle of it by the end of July,” Steinbrenner said to the media on Monday at Cipriani in Midtown Manhattan at the annual Harlem RBI “Bids for Kids” fundraising dinner. “We’ll have to see at the end of July, like we always do. We’ll take a look at everything. “We’ll see what injuries, if any, we’ve had from here to then, and where the deficiencies are. We’ll go from there. If we stay healthy, I’ve always believed we have a chance.” Despite the Yankees being a game under .500, they’ve played better baseball in May and June, going 17-13 in May and 10-8 in June. But if the Yankees want to be buyers at the deadline, they’re going to have to play to their potential. And Steinbrenner believes the Yankees can certainty play better than they have the past three months. “The last month has been promising,” Steinbrenner said. “The offense up and down the lineup is starting to produce. Chase Headley certainly had a rough start. He’s hitting now, and you’re starting to see other guys contribute, too. So I like what I’ve seen the last month. We just have to stay healthy.” No shit, this team can play better, but will they....? I don't see it happening, and not to be too redundant, but both Tadpole and Trashman have proven incapable of creating a winning Org. IMO....
...wow, just wow...I gotta believe he's either smoking some really good shit or he's simply posturing.
wow - the guy has to be wearing rose colored pinstriped homerific glasses. “We’ll have to see at the end of July, like we always do. We’ll take a look at everything". What an outrageous thought.
...here you go, Matts; http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/ya...with-trading-their-best-player-carlos-beltran
too reminiscent of this: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/m...ions-fans-may-be-the-best-move-hes-ever-made/ "It was a little bit of a tactical error on my part. I had this fleeting dream that I thought maybe I could run a team," Millen jokingly said. "Sorry Detroit, it didn't quite work out." If only William Clay Ford Sr. had done as much,ie apologize to the Fans. Both Hank and Trashman need to do the same, and get on with selling this team, to a competent Ownership, who knows something about baseball.... much like Matsui did to the Team, (when he didn't need too at all, IMO)...(Eastern Wisdom vs Hanks ignorance)...
...^^^ totally agree, this short 1/2 of a sentence, kind of says it all: While it might be difficult for Cashman to identify the next Fulmer,
...George handed over the keys of a once great and proud franchise to Hal and Hank 9 years ago and in a very short time they've managed to run it into the ground. Their lone title in 2009 was the residue of the team their Father had built...and it's gone downhill ever since.
An old Johnny Burnette tune runs through Hals head, So I'll keep on dreaming, keep right on dreaming, dreaming, Till my dreaming comes true. Hal your ball club is a ruptured duck, let the primos go and get something of value. Walk up to A-hole and sing take the money and run, you're fired. Show the franchise long timers that mediocrity is no longer accepted. Shit I gues that Johnny Burnett tune is running through my head as well, I can't believe you're your fathers son.
These two bobble heads are trying to convince Yankee fandom........"We are the Yankees. We never sell. What they don't know ......there is no more Yankees of Yore. They have become the Yankees of Bore. They must think Yankee fans have an I.Q. of 60! Good luck boys with your juvenile approach giving stupidity a new meaning.............Hal & Hank Steinbrenner or Hal-Hank idiocy or schmucks!
