According to Nick Cotsonika of Yahoo Sports, Rick Nash is expected to be out of the Rangers lineup for the next 7-10 days after being hit by Brad Stuart on Tuesday.

Nash left the game on Tuesday after the second period and complained of headaches following the game.

Not really sure how you can determine that when you are talking about a head injury, so take it for what it is worth. If that holds true he'll only miss 3 or 4 games, so that wouldn't be terrible.

I guess we'll see Kreider up shortly I would think. Fast may get more time. This pattern of concussions is starting to really worry me with him.

Maybe, it is a good thing for the team that he is out for a short period of time as they don't have to rely on only one player to score goals and have to face some adversity. It would be very concerning in a long run if he is out.

Look at the pens when Crosby or Malkin is out, the team plays well.

Agreed. That's why i laughed when someone here called Bylsma overrated. The guy is good. Not his fault Fleury turns into a pumpkin as soon as the regular season is over and his GM doesn't fix that.

Not true. In '10-11 when Crosby and Malkin each missed half a season, they finished with 100+ pts but their roster had no one exciting on offense outside of Letang, who is a defenseman (loosely speaking, since his D sux).

The difference is they got tremendous mileage out of marginal players like Kennedy, DuPuis, Cooke and Letestu, all of which had put in 10+ gls, and as high as 21 for Kennedy. None of those players are very talented but their system allowed them to out-produce their talent level.

Even if you look at the Pens roster today, after Malkin and Crosby, how many players are on that team that you wish we had? Neal for sure, maybe Kunitz, but that's where it ends.

Yes, who also missed half the season.

That was NOT a very good team after Crosby, Malkin and Staal all went down for 40+gms and STILL managed 106pts despite putting up a roster full of mediocre forwards (sans Kunitz).
