He became the second player in school history to have his uniform number retired, joining former UNLV and NBA star Larry Johnson. COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Larry Hughes COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Shandon Anderson ROLE PROJECTION: Versatile wing player. POSITIVES: Miles has swingman size and ability. He can create a shot for himself or find others once he slashes to the basket. Miles is more of a scorer than shooter but has good shooting mechanics and will be able to fine-tune this ability with practice. He has good lateral movement and shows the makings of an athletic defender. SHORTCOMINGS: Like most high school players, Miles is not ready for the type of athleticism he will see in the NBA every night. He needs to gain playing experience, as he is not overly big or overly explosive. For players like him, a solid knowledge of the game is what enables you to maximize your skills. He is not old enough to possess such knowledge yet.
