<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>For those in the 'Jose Calderon to Portland' camp, it's not going to happen. Apparently, Brian Colangelo and the Raptors have put the "untouchable" tag on Calderon. The dilemma for the Raps would be trying to unload TJ Ford and his rather large contract. Apparently, Ford is drawing some interest from other teams.</div> The Oregonian
$8-million a season for a starting PG is not a big price tag. Its only like $3M over the league average for all players. Mo Williams, Kirk Hinrich, Mike Bibby, Jason Terry, Jason Williams, Andre Miller--all these guys are comparable to TJ and they make more than him. I think Colangelo is calling Jose "untouchable" to scare off other teams from making big offers, or, to maximize his perceived trade value.
Think Minnesota can come up with an offer? They have McCants and have three possible 1st rounder's next year, not to mention the two 2nd rounder's this year. They also have Walker's expiring contract
The real question is would he be able to start with Mike Bibby already there. Wherever TJ goes, he's going to be expecting a starting position.

Its not like teams are lining up for TJ's services at this point, so they won't have mortgage everything to acquire him. But he's a reasonable gamble given what he showed in the season and a half before the Horford hit. The T-Wolves have the need and the assets, so I put them up with Miami, the Clippers, Seattle, Portland, and Denver as legitimate trade partners.

With the trend of PG's getting pushed into the lime-light, Toronto's eyes might be trying to shoot for the Moon. (no Jamario pun intended....lol). I'm just seeing Minnesota looking to fill thier starting PG need through a trade since it looks like thier starting to warm up to drafting Lopez or Love...ugh....I want Mayo

Media reports and fan speculation has varied from labelling him untradeable to linking him with any team looking for a PG. I personally think its somewhere in the middle. I think GM's think he's still a very good PG who's contract is fairly reasonable and stable (it doesn't really escalate that much). But on the other hand, they know Toronto's in a predicament and will use that to get him for as cheap as possible.

We already have a lot of guards (Anthony Parker, Carlos Delfino) and young projects (Joey Graham, Jamario Moon). He could be thrown into a package but I don't think it'll be centered around him. Toronto needs some proven experience at the swing position and some added toughness/rebounding at the forward/center spots. Ryan Gomes could be included. But what Minnesota really has to offer are expiring contracts and picks. I'm not sure how much they'd have to give up of each though.

Walker has a similar contract (maybe a 1-2 mil more) that expires after this year, and Toronto being a Playoff team, he might actually be motivated to help out. Maybe Madsen can help them out as a vetrean with Finals experience. Maybe even a big body like Richards
A deal wit T-wolves wont happen, not much to offer. A deal wit Hawks mayb if TJ can let that incident go. The only possible deals I see are with teams with young yet vetern talent like new york (nate robinson david lee), miami. I do not see BC making a crzy move and getting a very old player with picks for TJ, because the goal is to make a right move that would give us the oppertunity to win a championship and basically all raptors need is a lil bit more contribution.

Not to mention that the Knicks and Hawks are in the same Conference as the Raptors. Teams will tend to trade to the opposite Conf. when possible
