This, if true, is B.S. It doesn't matter what side you're on. What kind of things are in place to ensure these things don't happen? Or is the LA Times the watchdog for this sort of thing? Is it possible that the LA Times' opinion of the above quote is wrong? If the bill's that good for the state, and that popular, why didn't a republican sponsor it?
