    MSL = 0 :confused:

    Not saying cally deserves that ridiculous money he was asking. MSL better start scoring soon or this trade looks bad for us. I have a hunch that MSL will score in the playoffs if we make it.

    Again, any comment you want to make on the trade has to start and end with Cally's demands. If you wanted to pay him 6 mill or more per for 6 seasons, then by all means be upset or compare the two so far. What continually gets missed in here is the reason Cally was dealt. He was dealt because he wanted a contract that would have been a terrible long term move for us. Period end of story.

    There was never an option in Sather's mind to keep Cally unless he agreed to an extension like Girardi did. So he was going to be dealt for sure the minute he refused to budge on his 6 mill or more per demand on trade DL day. That is the bottom line.

    You want to get on anyone, get on the wonderful captain that saw a more valuable player Girardi take less to stay here, while captain Cally demanded a contract that everyone said was over the top and ridiculous for a player of his value.

    nice happy for cally, dont get me wrong i dont hate cally, i just dont think he was worth 6 mil for 6 years on some gay scott gomez contract ish, he is a 4 mil a year player, with a lot of heart, i wish him all the success,

    at the end of the day business is business. everything will work out in the end for st louis and cally. i dont blame him for trying to get money to support his family

    I'd rather have St. Louis in the playoffs. He's a sniper.

    Agree Mess. And in case anyone hasn't noticed, we are doing pretty well. We have won 7 of 8 fellas, and appear to be in a solid spot to get the 2 spot in the Met and home ice against the Flyers. Imagine when MSL starts scoring...

    The Rangers clinch and spot with a win and a Washington loss so it's really all about positioning now. Looking forward to the Colorado game as a solid gauge of where this team is at.

    The good thing is they've had a pretty good record since the trade so has Tampa. Lets see what happens in the playoffs.

    To me it has been about positioning since we beat CBJ Mess. I have been saying 2/3 since then. The only question is open at Philly or do we get home ice.
