<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">HOUSTON -- A jury cleared Hall of Fame basketball player Calvin Murphy on Monday of all charges accusing him of sexually abusing five of his 10 daughters more than a decade ago.

Murphy thanked God and his "dream team" of attorneys after the verdict.
As soon as the verdict was read, Murphy shook his attorney Rusty Hardin?s hand and wiped away the tears that welled in his eyes.

He also mouthed the words "God bless you" to the jurors.
Murphy, 56, had long denied the allegations. He said they were based on resentment and a dispute over money. </div>

I knew from the start that he wasn't that kind of person, I just hope he can come back to commentary for the Rockets, or maybe he can coach them...

So happy to hear this. I hope the Rockets sack Van and bring back Calvin.. The affect he has during the games is great. There have also been some conflicts -- according to the paper -- with the Rockets and FSN. Apparently, Channel 51's ratings during Rocket's games were significantly better than FSN's. Houston, actually, has one of the lowest cabble per t.v. ratios in the nation -- trying to find a link on that, read it while reading an article. Let's hope all of this gets resolved and that Muprhy is back, sporting flashy suits and cracking jokes. Oh, I miss Rocket's broadcasts..

Well, I'm happy Murph was acquitted, but then we'll never really know what actually happened. Unfortunately, I think his reputation will be forever stained by this (even if the molestation charges are false, he still had 14 children with 9 women), and I doubt he'll come back to do Rockets commentary.

I never knew Murph was so emotional...he must really be sad that his own children are doing this to him(personally I think those girls were lying, Murph is a good guy)

Don't be so gullible ppl and believe everything you see. It's called hush money..kobe did it, and now murph did it..it's how to make him look like an angel but the allegations will never disappear in his resume
