Hubie fair share for everybody has allowed this team to win 50 this season. Most starters didn't play more than 30 minutes and therefore weren't tired before play-offs. But I don't believe it's still a valid choice. In game 2 versus the spurs the second team was struggling. With the playoffs intensity and the great defensive pressure applied by the spurs, bench scoring seems less relevant than in regular season. I don't know what will happen in memphis but I think that you have to limit the rotation to 7 or 8 players. Watson isn't good enough to play any god damn minute. He was completely lost during the match, and didn't do anything worth telling. 13 mn - 0 points - 0 assist. I hope miller and williams will recover some confidence or this is going to be a sweep. What say you? P.D : what do you think of the journalist who said that posey was memphis mvp, was he just kidding or too enthusiastic of posey last games?
I believe the Grizzlies need to stick to a 6 or 7 man rotation. The only ones getting it done off the bench are Battier and Wells. It killed me seeing Gasol go from so hot to so cold, because he was benched for Outlaw in the third quarter. The same thing goes for Williams. These players are struggling in limited minutes. BTW - Posey was the player of the year for the Grizz, in my opinion. He's one of the ten best defensive players in the league, and he's our second best scorer. If only Gasol had better defense, he'd be my MVP pick.

Don't get me wrong I think he is a key player for this team and an outstanding defensive player but he has an avg of 13.7 ppg 1.67 spg 4.9 rpg. I can make a long list of good defensive forwards averaging those numbers. In fact I still think that bonzi wells and shane battier are more talented players but they just lack his intensity.

Shane's the hardest working player on the Grizzlies. He's always diving for loose balls and hitting the floor. Posey is athletic and talented. Numbers don't tell his story. He recently finished 10th in the Defensive Player of the Year voting. That is why I said he was a top 10 defensive player. He is our second offensive option too. Pau's lack of defense kills us on many occassions, especially against Duncan and the Spurs. Pau is a better player in my opinion, but Posey has had the better season. Still, that doesn't take away from me thinking Pau is one of the 15 best players in the league.
I think Hubie should definately consider changing this up before it is too late. I was really suprised when he put Wells on the bench for so long while he was having a great game and almost scoring at will. I say during the playoffs he should ride the hot player, give the guys more minutes. But I didn't win COY so I'll let him make the calls.
Hubie should deck the rotation down to an 8 man. James Posey is a great player and definitely MVP for the Grizzlies, Pau wasnt worth Shareef Abdur Rahim. Pau has been playing bad as of late and like tidi said he was benched for Bo Outlaw who cannot play offense, at all. Posey has to be the key component that got the Grizzlies to rake in some of their wins.
I certainly hope this is one some April fool's ish. You don't win 50 games, then panic and change it up for the last two. It doesn't work like that. The Grizzlies have used the ten man all year, and it's been successful. They'll come around. It's not like they're supposed to beat the Spurs anyway.

You make adjustments and do whatever you can to win a series, thats the name of the game. The Grizz have now lost 3 in a row, maybe its time for one. I'm not saying they are losing because of this rotation, the Spurs are obviously the superior team, but you have to do all you can to win. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The Grizzlies have used the ten man all year, and it's been successful.
