To be honest, we could use Lopez. Maybe give camby as some kind of cap relief to Orlando in their rebuilding process? What else could we give? Could serve as a dual purpose. At least it would insure blazer fans won't bear another laker dynasty?
There's no way Orlando gives up Lopez in that deal. The guy is young, he's a stud, and he's still on his rookie contract. He's the whole reason to deal with NJ.
Well that's why I'm asking. Can we even help? Can we even get Lopez? If we could, who would we have to offer? I guess Lopez alone won't work. Maybe we give them a hobbled Greg. Lol
Wow Aldridge for Lopez seems like a bad deal for us. Unproven young talent for a proven talent in his prime?
We don't really have anything else that would be appealing. Wallace is 29 and he's not really a star so I don't think he would get it done. Oden is shot. Batum has value, but I don't know if he has enough value to land Lopez. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=clllp48 I just don't think this is enough, but it's the best I could come up with.
Actually, I don't think much would change. We would lose some youth in Batum, but we would gain youth in Lopez. An Aldridge and Lopez frontcourt is pretty young. We still have Wallace and Felton, but our bench sucks. I'd say we would still be a year or two away from doing much. We need to rebuild our bench.
That is a huge debt to take on with a turkey glue...... All for getting Lopez...... And loosing Camby's EC I would pass
Maybe on a smaller scale. We'd have to give up a lot for Lopez. Anthony Morrow is a player I'd target. He's a career 45-3pt% and would be an awesome addition to the bench. A sharpshooting specialist.
And unfortunately we don't have "a lot" to give up anymore. This team is bare bones compared to what it used to be. We have zero depth.
