Sorry about the title just had to as you know the heat just lost to the charlotte bob cats and yes i know they didnt have shaq all i am trying to say is that if the Lakers didnt have shaq playing in a preseason game would the lakers have lost to the bobcats? I dont think so. So that being said i am trying to prove that if youre team without shaq cant beat the bobcats how are you going to beat the pistons i mean plaesa cmon explain to em how? And second i am tryin to prove what a weak and unexperienced bench you guys have. tahts all oh yha heres the link to the game info lol. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap;_ylc=X3o...4102630&prov=ap
Laker fans are like Shaq. They just can't let it go. If there's even a slight injury, why in the hell risk it for pre-season?
Jordan stop coming in here and critisizing our team... Shaq and Wade is our team almost... we traded half our starters for Shaq so obviously we can't do too much witho ut Shaq... Wade can still carry the team though. Shaq is our main focus, just like teh Lakers can barely win without Shaq b4.... and tha't sjus tlike saying the Lakers can't win without Kobe which is true, and that'slike saying no team can win without their Franchise player.......
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">just like the Lakers can barely win without Shaq b4</div> I'm not coming in here to criticize the Heat, but this BS is getting old. The Lakers had nearly the same record with Kobe (no Shaq) as they did with Shaq (no Kobe) in the regular season. I think what's trying to be asked is how are the Heat fans going to react if Shaq is injured? I'm not saying that he will be...but how will you guys react? Will you hate him? Because if Shaq goes down, the Heat won't make the playoffs (depending on how many games he misses).
Considering it's a preseason game being played in 11am... I find it it ironic how people don't praise us for winning with out Shaq but, when we lose without Shaq and Haslem, they come in here to rub it in. Or maybe you weren't aware that the Heat won 2 preseason games without Shaq?
Actually...I believe it was the lack of depth, not missing Shaq, that is the main reason why the Bobcats won the game. Missing Shaq, the Heat still should've beaten them...but you have to realize that Udonis didn't play, either. And for some reason, I'm starting to believe that Van Gundy is trying to build a championship team around Shaq, which isn't smart. He should be putting this team together around Dwyane Wade and the others, because they are most familiar with each other. The Heat can be a really dangerous team if they build the team around Wade and Jones...but it's not appearing to be that way. Van Gundy asked Shaq to play farther from the hoop on defense, but he complained...and I have yet to see him play differently. Shaq has to adjust, not the rest of the team...because if the man is so dominant, he should be able to adjust and not affect any part of his game. In other words...the concern should be how Shaq can adjust to Wade and Jones...and getting the rest of the team involved, to prepare for a possible injury to Shaq and maybe even Wade. They need that support...because no matter how well they do, it only takes one bad injury...and then the whole season depends on rookies and unexperienced players.
I dunno man. I won't bother to write any more but I'll just say this: I think people are just too focused on one game and are ignoring that we have beaten teams with out Shaq (and EJ cuz he's non existent in the preseason). Why didn't any one praise us then? Why didn't anyone praise our bench players for stepping up and landing shot after shot after shot in the games when Shaq did/didn't play? (just look at our FG% and 3PT% in the 5 games before the Bobcats: http://www.nba.com/heat/stats/index_print.html ) Why hasn't anyone praised us for doing so well when EJ is shooting 27%-FG and 28%-3PT? Wasn't he supposed to be a huge part of the three man show? Truth is a lot of ppl have been waiting for the Heat to lose with out Shaq. The chance present itself when they played the Pistons or the new look Magic but we prevailed so people had to step back and wait for another chance rather than praising us for winning with out Shaq. And that's why NextJordan is here posting this instead of saying "Wow congratulations you guys won games with out Shaq. Maybe your bench isn't as bad as I thought it was" This is a good example of how people focus too much on one thing and disregard everything else. Another example? When Hakeem owned young-Shaq in the Finals. It was the only time it had ever happened in history so people will always bring it up to try discredit Shaq as a great player.
heatfan...I understand what you're saying. The thing is...this is what I'm trying to say, also...but that's one of the problems in Miami right now. Look at those games you are talking about, where the Heat won without Shaq. Okay...this is because the Heat are trying to adjust to him when he's playing...and that's a bad idea. However, without Shaq, the Heat are working on adjusting to themselves. Would you rather take 14 others and adjust to one guy, or take that one guy and adjust him to 14 others? Shaq may be the man the Heat depend on all year long, but that doesn't mean he should make the preseason and the beginning of the regular season as difficult as he can. He should do what Van Gundy says...instead of complain about the way he's having to play...but if Van Gundy is telling the others to fix it, then it's not going to ever be fixed. The Heat have potential, but not if they are adjusting to Shaq. Team unity is a must for any team to win...and when you don't get all of your guys on the same page, then it's a losing effort. Why modify what 14 others have to play like, when you can take a guy who's supposed to be the most dominant ever, and tell him to play accordingly?
Why would someone even make a thread like this, this is just plain trolling the boards of another team, dissapointed....
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">Jordan stop coming in here and critisizing our team... </div> Not tryin to start an arguement. But there are quite a few Heat Fans flooding the Laker Board with garbage as well. Maybe everyone needs to start growin up.

To ask if the Heat can beat the Bobcats is just being silly and trying to start some mess.
