The last 4 years we were in the draft lottery, we won... 1992- We won the lottery and selected a man known as Shaq. we were the 2nd worst team, so we had the 2nd highest percentage of ping pong balls. 1993-We won the lottery WITH ONE PING PONG BALL. We were the best team out of the lottery teams and recieved 1 ping pong ball and won it to select Chris Webber, who we ended up trading for Penny Hardaway. We then made the playoffs 8 out of 10 years... 1998 and 2000 were the years that we missed it and we lost the lottery. 2004-We won the lottery, we were the worst team in the NBA and we selected Dwight Howard 2005-We lost the lottery and got the 11th selection and we drafted Fran Vasquez. -------------------------------------- Pat Wiliams has been to all of those lotteries. So we have won 50% of the lotteries that we have been in since 1992. We lost last year, which would mean if the trend continued that we would win the lottery this year. Pat Williams will be at the lottery tomorrow night at 7:30 pm ET. We have 8 balls out of 1000 in the lottery this year for a great .8% chance. So, can the luckiest franchise(in terms of the draft lottery) get lucky again?
i doubt it..we really dont necessarily need a number 1 pick this year anways.. plus this incoming draft isnt that strong...sure I would love to see us get into the top 6 or so but i doubt it...pat williams is a lucky charm though!
Well, technically, the last 4 years you were in the lottery, you won once. But still, crazier things have happened.
