Kenyon Martin for Troy Murphy I don't know if their contracts matchup but if Denver is more impressed with Nene's post game combined with above the rim style of play, this may be a good draw to get Kidd over here. I would love to see this happen since Denver doesn't need two of the same types of players and they could use a little more range to spread the floor on offense. Zarko is left who could play some power forward and we'd have at least one weapon on offense similar to the discussion about getting a player like Stromile Swift in the offseason. Also, having Biedrens as a center would be kind of cool if we end up getting a fastbreak point guard with at least some Kenny Andersen court awareness. It would be Biedrens Kmart Pietrus Richardson Paul Kind of a smallish lineup, but it could be successful like the Phoenix suns if we're more athletic and we have a glue guy to tie it all together like Steve Nash. If Kmart has a perimeter game I'll be happy.
last time i checked K-Mart is playing better than any Nugget... and his contract is huge.. is Murphs? because i'm not sure
Personally I'd rather have Nene. I never liked Kenyon Martin. He's kind of like Amare, how if you put him with a good pg he is going to do good. I think Nene is basically the same type of player, just les refined. But he has a cheaper contract.
I'd rather have Murph out of all three. He's got a reasonable contract and he's signed long term. I'm relying on Biedrins to provide all the interior defense down the road.
It just seems tough when you have Dunleavy and Murphy all on one side of the floor acting like big targets to start driving on. When we no longer have the Dampier/Robinson inside presence, the Murphy/Dunleavy forward tandem just looks plain ugly in terms of defense, especially when you lose Robinson in favor of Foyle because Murphy nor Foyle is a great passer like Cliff Robinson (or Dampier for that matter) from the high post or from the low post outlet pass. I don't know how Dun can co-exist with Murphy when Richardson and Murphy are taking away his touches on offense and Dun and Murphy happen to be the worst defensive players on the Warriors roster, actually beating out Jason Richardson. One or the other would have to come off the bench because we can't keep giving up 50% field goal percentage per game. Most likely it has to be Dun since his contract isn't guaranteed for 6 years. I'm sure Monty is thinking the same thing.

Jamison depsite his large contract would have been the better fit a sf since he played inside. Murphy could play outside. Still terrible D. But the offense would flow bettter.
I don't mind getting either Martin or Nene for Murphy, simply because we desperately need inside presence, and it's much easier for us to get a inside PF then inside center. But then, I don't see why Denver would consider that deal to begin with. Also, Murphy is virtually untradable anyway...
K Mart is only 6'9". He has no reliable shot. He's already shown to be injury prone. He's a big name, that's it. He's athletic and can finish but on a team like the Warriors you need more of someone who knows how to do the little things. Murphy provides that, rebounding, outside shooting. No way I trade Murphy for K-Mart.
