In a wild game between the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres, there were a lot of emotional swings. That was particularly true for the Habs, who were chasing the Sabres for much of the game and ended up falling just short of tying things up.

Montreal still had a chance late in the game, but the Sabres managed to score an empty-netter to extend their lead to 6-4 with less than a minute to play. It was how they scored, however, that had Canadiens star defenseman P.K. Subban absolutely incensed.

When the Sabres cleared the zone, it looked like the puck was going to end up entering Montreal's zone where Subban would be able to collect the puck and start another last-ditch effort for the equalizer. Instead, the puck hit the linesman's foot, slowing it up for Sabres forward Evander Kane, who now had enough room between him and Subban to throw a shot into the empty net.

While pucks hitting linesmen or referees happens regularly, sometimes even at very inopportune times and in advantageous ways for the opposition, Subban appeared distressed by this particular instance.
