After R'ooneys 2nd goal against Portsmouth in the cup, everyone was talking about Cantona's goal against Sunderland which was very similar. there was something on sky sports after yesterdays match comparing the 2 and i think there are uncanny similarities, they score stunning goals as well as plenty of tap ins, they create plenty of goals for team mates, they can showboat a bit and both have fiery tempers. for me their very similar but do you think Rooney will leave the same lasting legacy that eric has? will he score memorable cup winning goals and drag united out of trouble on countless occasions like Eric did? I think yes.
Its gotta be Cantona... he was easily our best player then and Rooney is definitely not ours at the minute
