Like a loyal soldier, Darcy Hordichuk is awaiting orders.

And considering the fact the Chicago Blackhawks' roster contains the likes of Dustin Byfuglien and Ben Eager, Hordichuk might not have to wait long.

If the Blackhawks decide they want to turn this second-round series into a war, Hordichuk is prepared to join the battle.

So far, Hordichuk has been a spectator in the playoffs. He was a healthy scratch for all six games of the Los Angeles series, a not-unfamiliar predicament for NHL pugilists at this time of year. There's not nearly as much fighting in the playoffs, so enforcers like Hordichuk are often the odd men out.

But considering the bad blood between these teams, you have to figure that Hordichuk has a decent chance of getting his name called by coach Alain Vigneault before this series is over.

In the meantime, Hordichuk is determined not to rock the boat.
