Apparently we offered them Mika for Miller straight up. Drury is as retarded as we all feared if this is true.

I don’t think this is true. This was reported today by the Penguins beat writer, in a throw-away line about potential trade deadline targets. Nobody else reported this, he didn’t report it as breaking news, and I don’t recall him breaking any news regarding the Rangers or VAN.

What I think happened is, a few days ago on Friedman’s 32 Thoughts Podcast (highly recommended) Friedman was discussing the situation in VAN with Miller/Petterson. He said something along the lines of “if it was simple as something like JT for Mika, it would be done already”. But that Vancouver is likely looking for someone like Schneider to help their blue line. That is way different than saying we offered Mika and they said no.

Yet everyone is now running with it. gotta love today’s age of social media news.
