"The Carolina Hurricanes lost another tough game Sunday, but that's not all.

It was a game with another tough call and penalty that went against the Canes. This time, the tough call cost them defenseman Tim Gleason, one of their toughest players, for much of the game and had a ripple effect.

In the end, the Washington Capitals won 3-2, continuing a resurgence after an eight-game slide that is being well-chronicled by HBO for its "24/7" series.
