Cardinals coach-stiffing story confirmed

For reasons still neither known nor apparent to us, the folks who get paid to follow football and write about it for companies that sell large sheets of flimsy paper onto which words are printed on a daily basis have yet to chase the story regarding the Cardinals’ employees who left the organization after the Super Bowl, and then were stiffed out of their Super Bowl bonuses.

Our friends Roc and Manuch of 1060 AM in Phoenix said during a Friday PFT spot that they had spoken with an unnamed former Cardinals assistant coach, who confirmed that his final check didn’t contain his Super Bowl bonus.

Though the coach didn’t want to be named, off-the-record representations from the coaches who were stiffed should be enough to get someone to take it to print — if anyone in the print media really cared about this one.

And, yeah, we’re hoping to shame one or more of them into doing it. The tactic probably would be more effective if we didn’t say so.
