"The Cardinals concluded their first full week of camp on Friday and even though signs of progress have been encouraging for coach Ken Whisenhunt, he isn't sure what to expect on Sunday when the Cardinals meet the New Orleans Saints to open their preseason schedule.

"I'm not under any illusion that we're a polished or finished product yet," Whisenhunt said. "You don't just do that in 10 days or however long we've been here. But if we continue to work the way we've worked in camp, we've got a chance to be a pretty good football team and hopefully that will be reflected in some fashion on Sunday."

As much as the Cardinals want to dress the game up as just another chapter of camp, excitement has been building about participating in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. Instead of being a distraction, it could be an important backdrop to keep motivation high as the team continues to seek answers about its personnel."
