Arsenal hope to continue their good run of form as they host Bolton at the Grove tomorrow in the fourth round of the Carling Cup (group of 16). Other games tomorrow include Burnley @ Cardiff, ManU @ Aldershot, and Southampton @ Crystal Palace.
Fielding quite the team... Fabs, Vermaelen, Squid, Miquel, Yennaris, Ox, Frimpong, Coquelin, Benny, AA, and Ju. 2-1 so far with goals from Arshavin and Park, and one against by Muamba.
No score between CP and Southampton, 1-0 for Cardiff over Burnley, and ManU are punishing the L2 team Aldershot 0-3.
We'll have one more day's rest than Man City when we face them tomorrow, but the timing is still poor. We were tired this weekend and I think we'll be up for the game for the first 20-30 minutes then fade, IMO. Hopefully they do to. Need a little RVP magic to pull this one out I reckon.
Fabianski is getting the start with the likes of Benayoun, Ox, and others getting a run. Looks like we're seeing the second units go at it today. Hopefully it means it'll be a great game with guys trying to prove their worth.
FabiaĆski; Eastmond, Squillaci, Koscielny, Miquel; Chamberlain, Frimpong, Coquelin, Benayoun; Park, Chamakh.
That didn't work out so well! Gotta say our youngsters played really, really hard. Can't fault them at all. Ox-Coq-Pong have a lot to offer. Hate to lose on a goal by that insufferable little squirt but that is pretty much what I'd be saying if any other player had scored for them.
Apparently Nasri took a jab (literally) at Frimpong in the exit tunnel then high-tailed it to the dressing room. Do you think he enjoyed all the stick he got at the Grove?
Our only pure striker prospect is Joel Campbell, who nobody has seen much of yet. Maybe as Ox gets more physical he can move into a central role? Miyachi, Bendtner, Vela, Chamakh, Park, etc.--don't see much coming out of that group.
Yeah, he hasn't really been knocking back the goals at Lorient. I think he has 2 in 9 or 10 appearances.
