Currently a big part in Utah's 12-5 start with stats of 25 PPG on 58% FG (3rd highest ppg), 11.2 rpg, 3 apg
Where do you rank him in the league/top 4 PF?

1. KG
2. Duncan
3. Dirk
4. Gasol
5. Boozer - Being Utah fan, I know the offense is ran mostly through the PG & PF positions, so Boozer stats may be a little inflated but he's truly a 1 trick pony. He can't play any defense, and defense wins championships, so I'm kind of optimistic to rank him so highly.

Kinda agree with RJay that Boozer plays awful defense and is just perfect for Utah's system. No doubt he's a beast though.

QUOTE (Jonah)

Pau Gasol better than Carlos Boozer? Thats ridiculous i reckon, what do you base that on

Gasol has put up similiar stats with less talent around him, he's 7 foot, and actually blocks shots making him somewhat of a defensive presence. Basketball isn't all about the offensive end if you haven't noticed, and I think Gasol would be doing just as good as Boozer if he was in Utah, if not better.

Hakim Warrick is better than all the PFs in this thread.
Anyways, how about Bosh or Amare? And Brand and Howard? All those guys (except maybe Bosh) are way better than Boozer, especially Howard.
Boozer's 7th best, at the highest.

I rather have him over Boozer (no bias) just because he has way more to his game. Boozer is a gig guy, who just throws it down, but like it has been said, no defense. Bosh can shoot way better then Boozer, plays some soild defense and does a lot more then Boozer, on his own.
Howard, and Amare need to be top 5, but Howard is more of a center, but you can rank him as a PF. Howard>>>Gasol for sure. Amare>>Boozer, bo doubt. My Top 5 looks like this:
1. Garnett
2. Duncan
3. Howard
4. Amare
5. Bosh

1. Duncan 2. KG 3. Dirk 4. Brand (when healthy) 5. Boozer 6. Bosh
Since Howard and Amare play C I'll count them as C's. The top 3 are still well ahead of Boozer just because they've done it consistently for years and in Duncan and Dirk's case they've actually had an impact in the POs. I'd take Brand when healthy over Boozer because they put up similar stats but Brand is a much better defender and hes got a much more pure post game. With Boozer a lot of his offense comes from pick and roll and putting him in position to make one dribble and go to the rim. Brand has a much more pure post game where you can just iso him and he'll score. Bosh isn't on their level yet because he isn't as dominating of a rebounder, he doesn't shoot as high of a FG%, and to be honest I think his defense is pretty poor.

1. Garnett
1A. Duncan
2. Nowitzki
3. Brand (when healthy)
4. Boozer
5. Jermaine O'Neal (after he gets traded and rejuvinated)
6. Bosh
I didn't count Amare and Dwight, but if you do count them, then Dwight is #3 and Amare is #5.

But thank you for mentioning Elton Brand. It's ridiculous how underrated and underappreciated he is.
1. Tim Duncan 2. Kevin Garnett 3. Dirk Nowitzki 4. Elton Brand 5. Chris Bosh -------------------- 6. Pau Gasol 7. Carlos Boozer 8. Jermaine O'Neal 9. Rasheed Wallace 10. Antawn Jamison or Al Jefferson

As many have said, I was considering Howard & Stoudemire, and even JO as Centers. I think Brand and Boozer are in the same boat, I give the advantage to Boozer though because I feel he's a much better finisher, who also draws a lot of fouls. I feel Brand settles for jumpers a bit too much.....
I'm a big fan of Bosh, but I don't feel he brings as much leadership as these other top PF's do. Gasol, Dirk, Duncan, Boozer, and Brand all are leaders, who bring another aspect to the game, that's something I don't think Bosh has quite yet. In a few years, I think Bosh will be better than Boozer and Brand.

He doesn't get at least 20 ppg every season out of luck, or accident...
