Though EA hasn't made it official, EBGames shows the Denver Nuggets star on the baller's box art.

Though Electronic Arts won't announce its NBA Live 2005 cover athlete until next week, it appears the lucky baller has already been unmasked. A product listing for the Xbox version of the game on EBGames.com clearly shows Denver Nuggets' small forward Carmelo Anthony on the box art.

    nba live 2005

    hey that rhymes.

this game is going to be awesome. finally online play. roster updates.

i hope that this game allows downloadable content such as if new ai's or tmacs come out in the middle of the season and stufff like that.

espn better watch out oer it might be bumped from the spotlight.

NBA Live is a great game and I love it, but it is overrated.

They are making a big deal about the fact that they (finally) added freestyle dunking. Both versions of NBA street allowed you to do dunks based on button combinations....I'm not impressed that NBA live finally caught up.

It will still be a great game, but the only real think that I'm looking forward to are the roster updates.

Toss up...which game would you get?
    ESPN NBA 2K5 @ 19.99 or NBA Live 2005 @ 49.99
Is NBA Live's new features worth an extra $30?

It depends for what are you buying it for,if you're a ps2-XBox user then get ESPN but if you are a PC user you should definatley get Live 2005 as you can download patches n' stuff for the PC game from www.nbalive.org and NLSC.

I thought Tmac was on some other game cover. Plus, Billups and Wallace arn't as popular as Carmelo Anthony. (I guess you could make an arguement for Ben Wallace though.)

So that means he should be on the box? Carmelo Anthony is popular and a great player, so what? BTW, I never said he wasn't popular, I said he wasn't as popular as Anthony, although you could make an arguement about it.

Even though its not official yet, isn't this old news? I guess the cover is new news, but him being the cover boy is about 4-5 months old. It was obvious when he was representing LIVE at the E3 Convention, where all the other coverboys of the other EA Games were representing their respective sport.

Billups doesn't sell.... Ben Wallace doesnt sell.........Carmelo sells....

Its the same with Vince Carter thats why hes on the 2004 cover. Vince Carter sells too. Iverson also sells. LeBron sells.( he'll be on it next year.)
T-Mac would probably sell but not nearly as Carmelo arguably the 2nd most popular NBA player after king James will. Its all about the money.
