Carolina shut out good Giants defense (see, I spelled it with an s ). If they can do that then they shouldn't give up too many points to the Bears and even if they do, their offense is just so good. Easy win for Panthers.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'>There is no easy win in the NFL..</div> It didn't stop the Colts from beating the Texans.
I hope the panthers dont take this confindence into the next game because Chicago will shove it in their face. The panthers are best when they are the underdog, if they are overconfident they will lose. We were overconfident when we played the bears earlier so i hope that the panthers try harder for this game. Because we arent gonna have all those running lanes like we did against the giants
the Giants played pathetic defense and their offense was inconsistant, the Bears have a much much much much better defense the Giants but to give credit to the giants they didnt have any of their starting linebackers. anyway i think it'll be a defense low scoring game but the Bears will pull out winners cause they'll be able to stop the run early and then force the Panthers to throw and Steve Smith will be double teamed by a good secondary
The bears have the best defense in the league. Their 2 LBs Briggs and Urlacher are great. Their secondary is great, and their D-line is great too. To protect Jake the panthers are going to have to run the ball effectively. Umenyori and Strahan are better DEs than what the bears have, but the Giants DTs and LBs were lacking. The bears have Tommie Harris, who is a beast in the middle of that line. The panthers were effective against the giants because they could get past that D-line and get to the second level. Against the bears when we get to the second level, Foster and Goings are gonna have a extremly hard time against Urlacher and Briggs. The Bears have a slightly better defense than the panthers, i think the bears have better DTs but everything else is pretty much equal on the defensive side. On offense i think the panthers are a little better because of the playmaking of steve smith. The running game is gonna have a hard time on both the bears and the panthers. It will be up to which team doesnt make the turnovers in the offenisve side of the game.

How many sacks that first game? How many did ours have? LOL our defense is WAY better
Dan Morgan and Brian Urlacher are pretty much equal. The only knack on Morgan is that he is injury prone. Will Witherspoon is great against the pass, lance briggs is good against the run. Brandon Short is pretty good against the run, Thomas Davis is good against the pass, and for the bears Hilldenmyer is ordianry.

There is no easy win in the NFL if there was one team would dominated the NFL.. There is parody in the NFL which makes it so great unlike Baseball and Basketball (which are good sports but aren't in the same league as the NFL right now) where the same teams make the playoffs every season.

The fact is none of your backers would start in thier position on bears. Especially davis, since he isnt a linebacker, too small
maybe if Morgan could play outside he could start for the Bears over Hilliemeyer or however you spell it but to say Morgan is equal to Urlacher is a HUGE REACH..
An easy win for the Panthers? Are you kidding me? If the Bears are such an easy win for the Panthers, then why did they LOSE to the Bears when they played earlier this season? I believe the Panthers can win this game, but they better come loaded for Bear! (I just had to say it.)
Urlacher is the most overrated linebacker in the league. Maybe in league history... The Bears "might" win this game. If they do, it will be because of bad weather and bad luck for the Panthers (turnovers/busted plays). Carolina "should" win this game. (I've said before that Chicago will lose its first playoff game. Here's BF1's chance to prove me wrong.)
Dan Morgan just hasnt been healthy. When he was healthy last year he made the pro bowl and in the super bowl he set a record of 25 tackles in a postseason game. Dan Morgan plays with reckless abandonment and that is why gets hurt a lot. But when he is healthy he is every bit as good as Urlacher

He is just better in every phase of his position. As for 25 tackles..that just shows how bad the rest of the defense played and how many plays were run on your defense

On the way home today, Some expert on ESPN radio said that Carolina's offense was better than Chicago's and that "would possibly" be the difference. Of course, this nimrod goes on to say that he is picking the Bears because of the mystique of the franchise & stadium. Mystique and 75 cents will get you a USA Today tomorrow morning on the way to work.
Well we will see who the better linebacker is on sunday. I still believe Morgan is the best LB in the league when healthy.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (panthersare#1)</div><div class='quotemain'>Well we will see who the better linebacker is on sunday. It doesnt mean they are better, it is only ONE GAME. Look at the seasons body of work, and it is clear who is better. So we have already seen whose linebackers are better, the bears, we dont have to wait til sunday. I dont doubt you do think Morgan is the best LB in league. You clearly are biased to panthers. You think thomas davis is good, and he is a bust.

If I recall there's been players who've haven't played much their rookie year and come in and dominate later in thier career. Thomas Davis can improve.. He's built like Derrick Brooks and if he improves his tackling which isn't out of this world he can become a nice weakside linebacker.. Although I do agree with you that Urlacher is better than Morgan even when Morgan is healthy.
