<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'></p> <h3 class="dateline">ATLANTA --</h3> In the mix-and-match world of the NBA preseason, the Charlotte Bobcats just about maxed out Thursday in a 109-104 loss to the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.</p> With most of his front-line players on the bench either injured or resting, Bobcats coach Sam Vincent got a long look at a few others he'll count on when the regular season starts Nov. 2 against the Milwaukee Bucks.</p> Forward Adam Morrison (20 points) and guard Matt Carroll (19) helped the Bobcats stay in the game after it appeared the Hawks would run away with it in the third quarter.</p> "I was really happy with Adam and Matt," said Vincent, whose team lost its exhibition opener Wednesday in Orlando with a desultory defensive performance. "They played great."</p> Forwards Gerald Wallace (sore knee) and Jared Dudley (sprained big toe) didn't play. Starters Raymond Felton, Jason Richardson and Emeka Okafor all played less than half the game.</p> "This has been a tough last couple of weeks for us," said Vincent.
