Carson Daly has officially joined NBC News and "Today," the network announced Thursday. Daly will become the host of "The Orange Room." In a note to staffers, NBC News president Deborah Turness described it as "a brand new, state-of-the-art interactive digital studio that will allow our 'Today' team and fans of the show to connect using social media and a variety of other exciting digital platforms." The room—which is not a metaphor, but an actual room—will be unveiled on Monday, when the show moves into a revamped set.
