The proposed trade sending quarterback Carson Palmer from the Oakland Raiders to the Arizona Cardinals is expected to be completed within the next 24 hours, sources directly involved in the negotiations told ESPN NFL Insider Ed Werder. Palmer is in the Phoenix area, where he dined with Cardinals team personnel Monday night, the sources said. Palmer would help solidify a Cardinals quarterback position that has been in flux since Kurt Warner retired after the 2009 season.
