After defeating Gonzaga, Carwin has moved himself into the top-5 in the UFC HW division. But with the title picture tied up until late summer, who should be next for him?

I think he and the winner of the Kongo/Hardonk fight have the biggest arguement for #1 contender after Mir and Lesnar fight.
Nog and Couture both need 2 wins to have another shot.
Dos Santos should face Cain Velasquez or Pat Berry IMO.

I haven't voted yet, because I'm split on choosing between Carwin vs. Crocop or Carwin vs. Dos Santos.

I think Carwin vs. Crocop is more interesting, however I think it is a pretty hard matchup for Crocop right from the get go, and I don't know what they would do with Crocop if he loses.

Carwin vs. Dos Santos is an interesting fight, Dos Santos is a tough guy himself, he has a lot of power and is coordinated. He probably has a speed advantage on Carwin. He also probably has good BJJ skills working with Big Nog. I would probably pick Carwin, but tough fight.

Carwin's hands are so damn heavy and his wrestling is pretty fucking good. I want to see him and Brock go at it.

I totally want to see this, but I want them both to fight once or twice more to build the fight up

I voted Carwin vs Dos Santos. Mainly cause I want to see someone get GTFO. Well to be honest Shane Carwin vs most of the people on the list would result in a knockout for one of the fighters.

Nah, I want it know. Carwin is 34 and not getting younger. One flash KO loss or something like that and he'll have to work his way back up. I think this matchup could be marketed pretty damn well.

It really depends, I can see him fighting Kongo if he wins, but if he doesn't I could see him facing the winner of Couture and Nog.

As much as I'd like to see him fight dos Santos or Velasquez, I think the potential damage he'd do to their young careers outweighs the benefits of such a win. Plus it thrusts either of those guys into his place near the top and I don't know if they are ready (more so Velasquez than Santos).

It seems that Kongo is the best opponent, especially since Kongo has been pining for a title shot and a win over Carwin would earn him one. But Kongo still has to get by Hardonk who has devastating leg kicks but a suspect chin.

I don't think Cro Cop would want Carwin in his first fight back, but you never know. We also don't know if he is even going to come back as it seems he's been swept under the rug for the time being.

Carwin is out for the next six-eight weeks due to a broken nose.
