    Casey Stoner thought Sunday's Indianapolis MotoGP might be tougher than qualifying.

    He ought to know better.

    The Australian motorcycle star lost the lead on the first turn, retook the lead on lap 7 and pulled away from the pack for a 4.828-second victory over Repsol Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa. American Ben Spies, last year's Indy runner-up, was third, 10.603 seconds back.
