Coming into this league, I didn't understand the importance of winning titles. I never thought it was easy. We had some tough battles with the Knicks and the Magic -- O.K., the one against the Magic was kind of easy -- but the first one wasn't. I was treated in my first couple of years, and I haven't been back since. On how the NBA has changed The game is easier now than when I came in. Back in the day it was rough, more physical. It's not like that now. On his basketball future Two more years. That's how much longer I want to play. I'm 36, and I'm still at a high level. I feel good. I wouldn't mind staying in L.A., but if not, I'd like to go back to Houston, where I live [he's single] in the off-season. </div> Source
I'd welcome him. This team can never have enough point guards- especially one that is established and one of the best floor generals in thel league.
Man I would love if Sam I Am came back....I still remember feelin sorry the day he was traded.......and lol @ saying beating the Magic was easy.
It would be a dream to get that guy back. If he came, at his age, it could be perfect splitting time with Skip. Barkley trade.....As a Rocket fan, if you didn't hate that trade your not a Rocket fan. Eventhough they got close the next yr. He and Horry, even Mark Bryant and Chucky Brown leaving, I hated to see.
I told you guys early in the offseason that Sam would be a good fit for us. He's old, but he would make the the best 20-25min pg in the NBA. Plus he'd take the pressure off Mcgrady to hit the big shot.
