<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jerry Seinfeld--Shaquille O'Neal Jerry is the center of the show. He always lands on his feet after setbacks. Obsessed with Superman. Shaq, who has a prominent Superman tattoo, is the center for the Heat. His career suffered an apparent setback when he couldn't co-exist with Kobe Bryant, but he landed on his massive feet in Miami and won another title. George Costanza--Jeff George A short, stocky, slow-witted bald man, George is a lousy employee who changes jobs frequently. He's only out for himself, once pushing an old lady aside to escape what he thought was a fire. Though Jeff was blessed with a rocket arm (too bad he couldn't have tossed the marble rye), his me-first attitude often left him seeking new employers. If only he had been informed that head coaches frown at being quarreled with. Elaine Benes--Von Hayes Elaine is a good-looking woman who doubtless had fine prospects when she graduated from Tufts (her safety school, natch) but never achieved the level of personal or professional success she expected; the low point was working for Mr. Pitt. Hayes was a good-looking prospect acquired by the Phils for five players who never achieved the stardom that was predicted as his career sank into the pits. Cosmo Kramer--Pedro Martinez Oddball Kramer marches to his own drummer; he loves to make a big entrance. Sometimes hangs out with a "little person," Mickey. Pedro is a clubhouse cut-up who helped drum the Mets back to prominence. His entrances into a game are always notable, but he should have exited Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS sooner. Also palled around with his own little man, Nelson De La Rosa. Newman--David Wells Jerry's arch-nemesis delivers mail for the U.S.P.S., though not when it rains. He's portly but surprisingly agile -- he climbs trees like a ring-tailed lemur and is reputedly a fantastic tennis player. Hurler Wells consistently delivers in the postseason despite his girth, though as a baseball player he also takes off when it rains. J. Peterman--Jeffrey Loria Peterman is the eccentric owner of his eponymous clothes catalog who fancies himself an artist for his flowery descriptions of overpriced garb. He once fired Jerry's dad. Loria is a former art dealer who now owns the cut-rate Marlins. He fired Joe Girardi, which has people wondering if he (like Peterman) has gotten into "Shanghai Sally" -- opium. David Puddy--Miguel Angel Jimenez Puddy is an auto mechanic who had an on-again, off-again relationship with Elaine, which included a disastrous European trip. He once copied Jerry's patented bedroom "move." Jimenez is a European golfer nicknamed "The Mechanic." Nobody has been moved to copy his trademark ponytail. George Steinbrenner--George Steinbrenner The Boss seems a natural to play himself, though he turned down the opportunity to do so onscreen because he was unfamiliar with the show. Seinfeld's Steinbrenner visits the Costanzas when he believes George has died, only to be ripped into by father Frank for trading Jay Buhner for Ken Phelps. As in real life, Big Stein blamed the move on his "baseball people." Kenny Bania--Alvin Harper Bania is a second-rate comic whom Jerry derides as a "time-slot hit" in "The Butter Shave" episode because Bania can only get laughs when paired with a more talented comedian. Harper looked like a star with the Cowboys when fellow receiver Michael Irvin drew the defense's attention, but after he signed a big free agent deal with Tampa Bay he was exposed as a second-tier talent with butterfingers. Frank Costanza--Dennis Rodman Frank is a hot-tempered man prone to outbursts with little provocation. He refuses to take off his shoes because of a possible odor problem. He created Festivus to replace Christmas and excels at its "feats of strength." Rodman was a strong rebounder who struggled to contain his temper. He once took his shoes off while on the Spurs bench.</div> http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...spot/index.html
