Of course it helps having the probable coach of the year, Hubie Brown at the helm. I have not heard much about the ankle of McInnis but I would not expect to see much of him, if not any of him in this ball game. I don't expect a win here, the Grizzlies hustle, they outwork you, they play defense. The Cavs don't do any of that. Well, let's hear your keys to the game and your final predictions. Please visit NBA.com
I don't see this one being a victory. The Grizz have a lot to play for and have been one of the best teams in the league since the All Star break where as the Cavs have been folding up shop for about 2 weeks now. After a heart breaker last night, and lottery position being the only thing left to play for, I like the Grizz big in this one.
Even with the key players out, the Grizzlies still seem to have a better squad then us. They also have two players that I have in my Cavs wish list in Swift and Battier. Anyway although improved last night, our form is poor heading into this clash, and with nothing to play for, I am not at all expecting a positive result. Posey and Miller will cause matchup problems, and Swift's quickness may be too much for Boozer. Newble may start tonight after a solid outing last game, coinciding with a poor effort from Nailon. Grizzlies by 9.
Newble or Kedrick better start tonight.... Nailon is a SCRUB. He can pitch in 6-8 points off the bench but it doesn't matter when he gives up 10 on the other end.
I don't give the Cavs any chance in this one. They've been playing poorly for over a week now and should have never lost last night to a Toronto team that has packed it in for the season. Anyone know if McInnis will play tonight? It looked like he twisted his ankle pretty bad last night. I say it's time to give the younger players more minutes. Cavs need to find out exactly what they have in Wagner, Diop, Brown and Kapono and whether they are part of the future. I'm looking at the draft pick now. Hopefully the 76ers win more than us to move us up a spot. No need to play LeBron 46 minutes anymore like last night or to play Boozer and Z 40 minutes either. It's over for this year. Look to the future.
^^^Phili are already ahead of us in the standings, while Toronto are just one game back. I hate it now when you are rewarded for losses. Newble deserves the start tonight. It's time to bring Diop in before Battie. Tony has struggled of late.
Mixed feeling here. I hate to see the Cavs lose, but they will. The Cavs proved last night that they can't defend the perimeter. Miller is going to have a huge game tonight and probably a career high in points. Getting McInnis back is huge but what good is it if he gets injured on his debut??? It just doesn't seem it was meant to be this year. Cavs are really missing something here. And our missing piece is non-obtainable til next season. Quite frankly im afraid to watch this game b/c I refuse to have my night ruined by my team.
And if McInnis is out, start James at the point with Newble and Kedrick at the swing spots. We may lack some offense with that pair, but we may actually handle Miller and Posey better. Get Diop solid minutes off the bench instead of Battie, and likewise Kapono over Nailon.
Lee is the key! Just let him do what he does... Newble did do good yesterday, but I think he forgot to guard Jalen Rose at the end.. Battie hit some big jumpers for us at the end, but we just came up short!
Shakey decisions out there. And I've noticed the last few teams (Memphis tonight too) are attacking Boozer.
55/39 Grizz @ the half Posey has 24, 3, and 1 James has 10, 3, and 1 McInnis has 3, 1, and 6 on 1-5 shooting Boozer has 2, 5, and 1 Z has 4 and 4 Wagner has 12 and 2 off the bench Blah...
Who's guard....uh.....who is......um.....ahscrewitanyway....Who is "following" Posey around the court? I can't say guarding......
Our draft pick is getting better by the game. Nice steady 18 point loss tonight to a severly under strength Grizzlies team. I am kinda happy to see them successful. Good to see Wags perform to up his value whether we keep him or not. Man our team changed damn quick. This is a replay of last year of late, only this time more people are watching.
we've dropped 9 out of the last 10... what is going on this is no little "slump" this is just downright embarassing 9 out of the last 10 something is very wrong
Its time that Kapono, Wags, Brown and Diop played the minutes. This season is real dead so we may as well give the youngens a run. Showcase them for trades. Silas has failed down this stretch at ready his team mentally ready.
