Keys To The Game <u>Cavaliers</u> Perimeter defense :Billups, Prince, Atkins, Okur. Get Ilgauskas involved early and POUND them inside Box out on Wallace LeBron, stay out of foul trouble <u>Pistons</u> Zone Get LeBron in foul trouble Keep a body on Carlos Boozer, keep him off the glass Must attack the basket Crash the boards The Infante Choice Another road game for the Cavs. They have shown that they can win road games, but how about a team over .500? Lets just say this. Cavs can get the job done if LeBron attacks attacks attacks. LeBron's secret strenght is the post up. USE IT. It should keep you out of foul trouble and you would get some calls. Pistons by 5 in a freethrow shootout finish. <font size="1">Please visit NBA.com</font>
Great preview bro! Cavs have played the Pistons very well this nyear being 1-1 with them and blowing them out last time. The time the Pistons beat us Rip Hamilton went nuts for a career high. The Pistons play in close games a lot, so do the Cavs, that is why most times these games will always be close ones. Turnovers, freethrows, long range shooting, and perimeter defense will tell the story. Tossup.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 3 (Ticker) -- The Detroit Pistons can extend their home winning streak over the Cleveland Cavaliers to six games on Tuesday at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The Pistons have won their last five home games against the Cavaliers, who have not posted a victory here since Feb. 25, 2001. They have won nine of their last 10 games against Cleveland at The Palace. The Cavaliers had lost eight straight meetings to the Pistons before posting a 95-86 win in Cleveland on Dec. 11. </div> http://www.nba.com/games/20040203/CLEDET/preview.html -This will be another game i miss. 3rd one in a row. I will watch a tape of it after I attend WWE Smackdown! event in Gund Arena. yay. Enjoy the game fellas. Go Cavs.
Well Lebron has to score tonight and Booz has to get Wallace in foul trouble he's got to go at him. And Mcinnis has to stick to billups like glue. Also Z has to come out on okur cuz he will hit it. Cavs by 5 in a close one. Go Cavs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LeBron will need to have a big game tonight. I want to see him getting to the line alot and making the easy baskets. However, it will be tough and I say Pistons by 6.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">Something tells me that James will be a little ticked off tonight.</div> Why's that KJ? Whoa, the Pistons look like they might take this one. They've all been playing so well lately. Even Okur, hope this isn't another win by 2. Getting a bit tired of those. Rip and Billups will probably pull off another clutch performance. I'm for the Cavaliers here though. Boozer will definitely be a major factor and kick some serious keester. Wallace is damn strong though, so's Boozer. It'll be hard for both teams to contain either. I think this'll be a very defensive or second opportunic game. I say Pistons win a close but tough to get win. Pistons by 4.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Magic Johnson:</div><div class="quote_post">Why's that KJ?</div> Little something about getting snubbed. I won't say anything, but I feel the Cavs will play really darn well tonight.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">Little something about getting snubbed. I won't say anything, but I feel the Cavs will play really darn well tonight.</div> Come on KJ, you know that deep down you think that the Pistons will win. Anyways, if anybody cares, here is the Piston's preview for this game. Preview And I wanted to thank Mr_Infante in this thread for letting me use part of his preview. Nothing better than joint cooperation between members of opposing teams. I think that the Pistons will be able to contend with Lebron's anger about being snubbed. The Pistons should win as long as they are able to defend Lebron and Boozer. Pistons by 5.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PyroManiac:</div><div class="quote_post">Come on KJ, you know that deep down you think that the Pistons will win. </div> So deep inside you believe the Cavs will win? ok, fair trade Pistons play close basketball games and they always let the other team hag around. Rip and Billups usually end up "out-clutching" most other players late in games to get wins. LeBron is getting to the line a lot more now, and late in games that is huge. Role players will play a huge part in this game, it should be very exciting and I can't lean either way to tell ya the truth, they are 1-1 this year after all. Great luck to both teams, hope they "play hard"
This is one of those games that will go down to the wire. II say whoever can make the frist stop will win this one. I think the Cavaliers can do this so I say Cavs by 4. Yeah LeBron will come out dunking hard on this one. SO much rage.
I'll say the Pistons by 8. LeBron is going to have a BIG game, and go nuts on this Detroit defence, IF HE DRIVES TO THE NET. Which I'll doubt he'll do, but, oh well.
LeBron goes for 40+ tonight to prove he should of been an allstar, he is much bigger than Rip Hamilton...I think the Cavs stun everyone and pull out the win, they win by 3
I think DWags and LeBron will have good performances tonight, LeBron cuz he got snubbed and DWags cuz hes been gettin like no playing time lately.Boozer will have his double double but Wallace will own the Defensive Glass. Umm... McInnis can take billups just play good perimeter defense im gonna say cavs by 3.
Cavs up32/30 after 1 James has 8, 1, and 3 Boozer has 8, 3, and 1 Z has 6 and 6 McInnis has 4 points and 3 assists Williams has 6 and 1 <font color="Red">----------</font> Cavs up 50/44 @ the half Pistons came back from 15 to tie the game, but only to go back down to close the half. James has 10, 1, and 5 Boozer has 10, 7, and 1 Wallace has 9 boards and 1 assist, is 0-6 from the field as well. Z has 8 and 6 McInnis has 8, 1, and 3 Rip has 10, 1, and 2 Cavs shooting 48.9% to the Pistons 41.9% Cavs have 4 turnovers to the Pistons 9 Cavs have 16 fast break points to the Pistons 9 Cavs have 24 points in the paint to the Pistons 18 Great job by the Cavs in the first half, if they keep this up, we can win easily, long as they contain Sura and Campbell. <font color="Red">----------</font>
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">if they keep this up, we can win easily, long as they contain Sura and Campbell.</div> I don't know whats worse, you saying Cavs will win easily or the fact you said contend they need to Elden Campbell and Bob Sura.Never thought I would ever hear those words.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't know whats worse, you saying Cavs will win easily or the fact you said contend they need to Elden Campbell and Bob Sura.Never thought I would ever hear those words.</div> Well those 2 picked up the pace to bring the Pistons back from 15. Sura was all over the glass and getting to the basket and Campbell was hitting jumpers like it was nothin'. The Cavs starters are why we are winning, our bench stunk it up again in the 2nd quarter. Silas will play the starters a lot in the 2nd half like he did against the Wiz, because we can win this. <font color="Red">----------</font> Cavs win 85/82! James has 12, 4, and 6 on just 5-19 shooting as Brown's Pistons did not give Bron anything to work with all night long. Boozer had 21, 15, and 2 Wallace had 5, 17, and 2 Z had 15 and 9 Diop had 7, 10, and 1 off the bench Box Score Pistons up 71/67 after 3 James has 12, 2, and 5 Boozer has 17, 9, and 2 Wallace has 4, 12, and 2 Cavs offense has just disappeared since the first quarter scoring only 18 in the 2nd and 17 in the 3rd. These calls against the Cavs have been a joke too, every time Hamilton, Billups, and Prince drive to the basket they use their off arm to shove off, never gets called. <font color="Red">----------</font>
excellent win by the cavs tonight. Big game this was leading into this week with Lakers wed night. big win in a tough place to win the palace.
