The last game of the season for the Cavaliers, and what better way to finish it by completing a sweep with their conference rival New York Knicks. That is all there is to play for the Cavaliers as the playoffs are out of reach. However, the Knicks can finish 6th if they win and the Hornets lose their final game. If in 7th it is division rival Nets, or 6th it is the white hot Pistons. Pick your poison there. A Cavaliers victory or loss doesn't change there lottery ball position with the NBA's 9th worst record.

Cleveland come into this one with a crowd pleasing win over the Bucks, and the confidense of winning their last 4 meetings with the Knicks. Cleveland are likely to play there young bodies for the season finale, while the Knicks rotation may depend upon what position they may want to fall in, as the Hornets game is played 30 minutes prior. Personally I would like to see Kedrick Brown, Wagner, Diop and Kapono play meaningful minutes. This will be tough as we know Silas loves to leave LeBron on the floor.

Will Silas trial Wagner at the point again?
Will he go with the young and largely untried bench?
Will the Knicks rotate their players to rest the stars for the playoffs?

With these questions unanswered, it is tough to give a prediction. But one thing is for sure. I would love to see a 4 - 0 sweep to the Cavaliers over the Knicks! [IMG]

How classic would this game have been if we were still in the race? Oh well can't keep thinking "what if" forever. It's been a great season and a sweep of NY would end it nicely.

Question is, will Silas play the kids?

My last-game- of- the- season wish list:

I want to beat New York for the sweep and because I don't dig the Knicks or their fans.

I want to see the starters play some solid minutes, but I want LeBron to rest at strategic points in the game. Can't help but request a couple explosive dunks out of Bron Bron.

I really want to see Kapono and Diop play some meaningful minutes. I would really enoy seeing Kapono getting some open looks from McInnis. Kapono can shoot, man! Good time to give Z some rest too. My bet is that we see DeSagana in there. He better be energetic on d and take a jumpshot or two to stay in.

Put Kedrick on their offensive threats. Wags hit a couple threes. Newble keep up the good work.

Let's end the season with an entertaining preview to next season.

I don't know how Silas feels about going out with a victory or playing the youngsters. The two might be mutually exclusive.

Cavs by three! McInnis' three. [IMG]

The Knicks will most likely to lose against the Cavs, since Lenny will bench Marbury for a majority of the game, but there is hope for the Knicks giving Moochie who had a tremendous 21 point performance against New Orleans more minutes.

I want LeBron to play his normal 35-40 minutes (why not?!)... same for Boozer.

I wouldn't mind seeing Diop get some playing time, as well as Kedrick and Wagner.

It would not shock me if James has one of his better games of the season tonight.

    I'll leave it at that.

(Knicks D sucks just as bad as ours)

Play the young guys tonight. You play to win but the game really means nothing and NY will be resting their key players also. LeBron should play a lot but I'd like to see him well under his usual 40 and not out there for virtually the whole game like on Monday.

Should be a close one but won't show much since bench players should see serious minutes.

It will be strange to see the two teams clear the benches early on here. If it was bench against bench, you could not be confident of ours. They are way to unpredictable to have faith. Personally I want to see Diop play around 30 minutes resting both Booz and Z. That is if he can last that long without fouling out or reallllllly sucking on offense. Its hard to see Wags, Brown and Kapono getting significant time, when there is a guy called LeBron on your roster at the 2/3 spot.

    Wags at the point again???

As good as James and Boozer are, they still are young guys who should be playing....

Are we concerned with wearing them out? Its the last game!

Rest guys like Battie and Z and Jeff who might be nursing minor injuries... let LeBron. Wagner, Boozer and the rest of the young kids run wild out there.

CBBI, when I said Diop to rest Booz and Z, I mean have him as the primary backup for both. Give Battie the night off if it can be helped. So if Z and Booz play 35 mins each, that leaves around 25 minutes for Diop to show us his D and lack of O.

LeBron is off his game. Ollie in at point instead of Wags, and Battie over Diop. I guess the future is not today.

    Down double digits!

    24/19 Knicks after one

    8 pts for Newble.

We will win this one... they aren't going to play their starters much longer this half.
