I always like it when teams have more than the limit of players at training camp (which they often do); it just means that the players on the cusp have to work that little bit harder to try to make the roster come the end of training camp, adding a little spice to it. It's good news for Gibson, as missing training camp (or not being 100% for it) really hurts players; a point proven by Sasha Pavlovic and Anderson Varejao last season, when they both missed training camp and their seasons never really recovered from that early setback. It's good and bad news from Eric Snow - it's good for the Cavs that they might be able to save up to $10m as a result of the disability claim, but bad news that a solid veteran will be leaving the team as a result. If I was Danny Ferry or Mike Brown, I would make signing him as an Assistant Coach one of my priorities, along with re-signing Delonte West and figuring out who to trade the expiring contracts for.
