<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The Cavs have 29 games left, and Silas thinks they'll have to play better than .500 ball in order to make the playoffs. The players seem willing to accept that challenge, as evidenced by last night's practice. "I didn't think we were going to have as much energy as we had," said guard LeBron James. "But we had a heck of a practice. I'm very recharged. I felt good today. I'm back to where I need to be. "We've got a job to do now. We've got 29 games left and I'm bringing all my energy. Every little piece of energy I've got, I've got to bring to these last 29 games." Said forward Carlos Boozer, "The first half of the season there was so much that went on with trades and games and the different scenarios that happened. Now this is our squad for the rest of the season. "We're going to go after it and go after it hard." </div> Full Story
Glad to see that winning attitude finally coming along. I believe that the Cavs will indeed play .500 ball, but it will be "slightly" .500. I won't get into the games in detail, but a lot has to do with the health of James and Boozer, we can't afford to have them get injured again, because we won't be as lucky as last time. We will have better than a .500 record though I agree with.
If that's our situation, I don't think we are going to get to the playoffs Don't know why I think it would be that way, but it seems very hard, and I don't think the team have enough experience
We only won 17 games last season fellas, we are headed in the right direction, I for sure won't complain one bit.
^ if they dont make it this year then they will be in a 5 spot i think next year. the players on the team need to get a better feeling for each other since they have made so many moves this season. but i think the cavs have shown that they can compete with contenders in both the east and west.
We have a pretty favorable schedule the rest of the year so we have a good shot at going .500 or above. At this point, I think 35 wins will get us into the playoffs. We have a good shot at a playoff spot, while the Nuggets have played so well and are only in the 8th seed. I think it will be hilarious if we sneak into the playoffs and the Blazers, Sonics, or Jazz beat out the Nuggets.

Yeah, of course, Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis will carry that team to the playoffs. Jazz? They are sinking, and fast. Denver is tied for 6th, and they are 2 games back of the Lakers.
What turnarounds for the Cavs and Nuggets, I give them both an A for the season already for how they both improved over last season.

I'm not sure why you are getting so defensive. You're not nervous or anything are you?
Nuggets are actually a huge improvment over the Cavs, I would give the Nuggets an A and the Cavs a B.
I would really like to see the Cavs in the playoffs. They have greatly improved sence last yar(The main reason being Lebron). I think that Paul Silas has done a great job there so far this season. I give the Cavs an A-
The Cavs improvement has really be hindered by the fact that Paxson waited until the midde of the year to start making moves rather than over the offseason like the Nuggets did. I guess he wanted to see what Lebron and Ricky could do together, but I think any somewhat knowledgable Cavs fan could see that it wasn't going to work out. The Cavs have improved greatly from last year (was there really anywhere to go but up?), but they still are faced with many of the same problems. 1. No outside shooting 2. Weak perimeter D 3. Poor execution late in games 4. Inability to put away an opponent (has there been a game this year that we won that wasn't in doubt at some point in the last 5 minutes or so?) Bring in an outside shooter and some better assitant coaches (PLEASE!) and I think we have a team that will be a force in the Eastern Conference for many years to come starting next year.
Cavaliers rested, ready to go for it <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In the past two days since the Cavaliers returned from the All-Star break, the hot topic of conversation has been Cleveland's playoff push in the season's final 29 games. A below-.500 team could reach the postseason in the Eastern Conference, with Boston (23-31), Miami (23-32), Philadelphia (22-32) and Cleveland (20-33) competing for the final two playoff berths. But as rejuvenated as Cavaliers coach Paul Silas and his players feel as they prepare to host Dallas tonight, Silas hasn't lost his grip on reality. Cleveland's next five games, which also include San Antonio, New York, New Orleans and Houston, come against teams that appear to be headed for the 2004 playoffs. And Silas knows the Cavaliers are still a work in progress.</div> Full Story <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Cavs on solid ground The Cavaliers, especially their fans, began the season with such high hopes. The team drafted the savior in LeBron James and signed a well-respected veteran coach in Paul Silas. The team began the season as one of the youngest teams. Some players even had the nerve to suggest the Cavs had a chance to make the playoffs. Cavs forward Carlos Boozer was one of them. "Our expectations are high and those high goals are making the playoffs," said Boozer, during training camp in October. "The whole atmosphere around here has changed. . . . We'll win a lot more than last year." </div> Full Story
I think we have done a much better season than last year, we had some good trades, and won more games than last year! Next year, we're for sure going to the playoffs, maybe not this year, but next year for sure!
I'll love to see the Cavs in the playoffs. But I don't think it will happen I Garantee you next year they will be in the playoffs and you can quote me on that one. Wins over teams like Memphis , Houston and Bucks at home won't happen. Other than that there is about 6 more games that it could be anybody's game. They'll win 13 out of 29.
If the cav's make the playoffs it would be a great learning experiance for them, but they won't be serious contenders unless they catch fire. They are a very young team, and I'm not so much looking at what we can do the rest of this season, but what we will be able to do next season. I think the team will be older more experianced, and a major threat next year if they come out and play ball. I'm really lokking foward to see what happens.
