I hear the Cavs have little interest in small free-agent guards such as Brevin Knight or Earl Boykins. The Mike Bibby deal appears to be dead, especially after the Sacramento Kings signed Mikki Moore. They wanted Drew Gooden to help inside. Moore gives them the added size.

so it looks as though the Cavs will have a similar lineup as last season come opening night. I'd still like to see them trade Larry Hughes, but he needs to find some form to increase his value, else the Cavs will only get peanuts for him.

That's a bit disappointing that it will be basically the same lineup as last year but I don't blame anyone Hughes is un-tradable in terms of getting something of very good value in return. This gives a stronger focus on the development of Brown I guess

If Brown doesn't develop then, I'll cry. The Cavs need him. He is soo good, and explosive. Don't get VC started, but he will. Brown just needs minutes.

Of course they're not interested. Why would they be? It's not as if Eric Snow and Larry Hughes aren't locks for the all star team next year...

You know, I bet you could convince San Antonio to take Hughes. Just a hunch. Bowen is getting up there, and Hughes similarly carries a good defensive reputation with questionable offense. Just a thought.

    Starting lineup for next year?
I'm guessing what they had at playoff time

    C-Ilgauskas
    PF-Gooden
    SF-James
    SG-Pavlova [IMG]
    PG-Hughes

or just before when Hughes was at Shooting Guard and Gibson was starting at the Point?
