<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yes, Cavs star LeBron James did curse at coach Paul Silas during the team's embarrassing loss to Miami on Sunday. No, it's not the only time James has done so lately. But don't expect James to receive the harsh punishment backup guard Eric Snow did when he sassed Silas earlier this season. </div>

Silas is in a tough position with this team. He's no longer in control and doesn't have the respect of LeBron James. If the coach is not allowed to discipline his star player the same way he disciplines the other players the team concept goes right out the door. You cannot have double standards and be a coach in the NBA. I'm sure the Phil Jackson rumors about being the next coach in Cleveland start up any day now.

I've also heard rumors about Flip Saunders being interested in coaching the Cavs. But I actually like what Silas has done for this team so far...

They really need a coach who can get a good rotation happening, through all positions. At the moment LeBron James is playing ridiculas minutes, but all the tall players are getting subbed off for someone like Diop, who seems to get a lot more game time than someone like Pavlovic. With a fully-fit team (which cannot happen until next season) they will have Jackson, Pavlovic, Welsch and Wagner, and maybe even some that I forgot, coming off the bench for SG/SF position. All that talent will be wasted if Silas continues to caoch the way he does, using the starters for so long.

It was bound to happen with how Cleveland has been struggling. I still think Silas is the man for the job, they will start winning again...I do think LeBron should be benched a game though, as Shape said..double standards throw the team concept right out the window, I don't care if you are Popeye Jones or LeBron James..cursing out your coach is unacceptable.

I don't even think it's an issue where Lebron curse Silas out. Stuff happens when you are losing. There have been times where my boss and I go at it. It's no different than what you see in your typical regular jobs.

You know the saying about how winning is an antidote. When the Cavs start winning like they did the other night against the Magic, things will change.

It doesn't mean that he still isn't respectful. LeBron let his temper fly, every great player has done it..Kobe, MJ, KG..it comes with losses..especially consecutive losses.

becuase he is LBJ this incident will get more than it deserves in attention. Last year the media was trying to potray Carmelo as the kid who did it the right way and was better. Thats why not much was made of the incident when he refused to play during a blowout. HE WOULDNT GO ON THE COURT. I agree that every player lets their tempers fly and i believe that LBJ should be reprimanded. I always have believed that "everybody should be treated fairly but not the same" hence he shouldnt get close to what eric snow got.

well this will certainly add a dash of dirt to his image.
looks like he's not so perfect as everyone thinks he is

It will hardly affect his image I think. It is nothing major..he blew up, he is human..he is allowed to blow up, should he be disciplined? Yes..will it be remembered a year from now, probably not.

It's a good thing noone thinks he's perfect. I can see getting upset and losing it for awhile. The question is, where does it go from here?
