According to Janis Carr of the Orange County Register, "[assistant coach Brian] Shaw received permission from the Lakers to talk with the Cavs and reportedly is scheduled to meet with Cleveland officials face-to-face next week." The Cavs coaching search is shaping up to be a coincidental situation. Both Byron Scott and Shaw are in the mix. But if Phil Jackson, who said earlier this week he was leaning towards retirement, decides to step down as Lakers head coach, Shaw and Scott would be candidates to take over that position. So it's possible if one gets the Lakers job, the other could take the Cavs job. Though, at this point, it appears that the Cavs job is certainly shaping up to be the less desirable of the two if LeBron James doesn't come back. Source: OC Register
Rumor has it Shaw is the guy now. Shaw knows the triangle. LeBron is intrigued by playing in the triangle. Hmmmm...
