Again this is from the Akron Beacon Journal, which I can't get the full story from because I don't feel like registering [IMG], but the word is Cleveland will leave Ollie unprotected (obviously) and offer to pick up some of Ollie's salary next season, which is worth 2.7 million. Teams can offer a maximum of 3 million to the Bobcats to entice them to take a player.

Silas and Paxson both don't really like Ollie as a back-up point, which is becoming pretty obvious with McInnis' strong play, and their apparent intentions to draft a point guard.

I don't think the Cavaliers would have much success. Ollie has four years left on his contract and the Bobcats would not want to commit on an average, aging player on a long term deal.

Yeah, the Cavs would be lucky if the Bobcats actually took him,he had his chance to step up when McInnis got injured, but he didnt and thats is a reason why the Cavs didnt make the playoffs.

If Ollie doesn't get picked up, get ready to see him rot on the IR. We really don't need him, and will find any possible way to rid of his existance here on our roster.

I must say I was very surprised when the Cavs offered him five years. Obviously he's an upstanding citizen and a great locker room influence, but to sign for five years on those premises? At one point I was disappointed to lose him as he performed well for us towards the end of the 02/03 season, but I must say I am much happier with Antonio Daniels.

I just don't know what it is, but Ollie just doesn't "have it". Through out the whole season I seen nothing but a waste of space running up and down the floor. He was basically a filler spot incase Bremer didn't work out. Well Bremer didn't work out and to tell you the truth I wish Bremer got the deal instead of Ollie.

If that's the case, why not throw away Wagner also. Seems anyone cheap or with some form of skill or potential would attract the Bobcats.

Wagner is going to be used as trade bait. I have heard rumors tho that They are trying to throw Wagner to the Bobcats to possibly move up into the draft.

I think the Cav's thought Ollie would be a good player to mix with LeBron, but theres a reason Ollie has been in like... over half of the league's team.

Everywhere he's gone he's been seen as a solid back up point guard, who won't turn the ball over and can get it to your scorers. Nothing more, nothing less. I am surprised he's never got at least a 2 year deal, I remember him ousting Tinsley in the playoffs for Indiana. He was great for us too, leading the league in A/TO. From memory we offered him two or three years, but I was still shocked when the Cavs offered five. Still, as a non-Cavs fan, it's nice to see him with some security, because he's a great guy. Unfortunately you don't give five years to a guy cos he's good in the locker room.

Ollies is not worth the money he is getting and I hope he goes. But I don't think the Bob Cats would want him.

BobCats officially stated that they arent interested in his contract. This blows we are stuck with him for 5 long years, like a car payment.

I got to disagree with that he is a great ball handler leads the league in assists to turnover ratio. Is a solid back up point guard. Shoots great from the line will provide you with vet leadership. Will give you a pure point guard that can hold down the position if your point guard is ever hurt or can not play for some reason.

^Stop sounding so politically correct man. Ollie sucks, I know it, Deadlock knows it, and you know it.

Yea for real.. he bricks a wide open jumper. His not bad for a backup but not worth the money at all.

Can you say 10 game losing streak? When McInnis went down Ollie stepped up and failed miserably.

Hope he leaves, but I can't see any team wanting him much, or at all. He just really started to annoy me this season, especially when McInnis was injured and Ollie still couldn't step up.

Ollie's failer to step up led to the signing of Mateen Cleaves, who tried to heal the wounded Cavs. Too bad the wound that Ollie left was never bandaged until Jeff McInnis came off the injured list. Our only way to get rid of Ollie is threw the Indiana trade.

Needs to go. If he is going to get gametime anywhere, it will be at the new team. Cleveland are thinking about drafting a young point-guard (hopefully Jameer Nelson) and Ollie won't get any game time.
