This is an exerpt from todays Boston Herald:

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Cavs cry foul:
The Celts didn't get away completely clean from their last two regular-season games. While the NBA had no problem with the club resting veterans for large stretches against both the Cavaliers and Nets - the two teams fighting for the last playoff position in the Eastern Conference - there was some carping in Cleveland.

More than a few folks were apparently disturbed that the Celts blew a 19-point lead and fell to Jersey, leaving the Cavs and Nets even in the standings (with the latter holding the tiebreaker).

Celtics PR man Jeff Twiss even fielded a call from an alleged radio guy from Cleveland who threatened legal ramifications.

``He said the attorney general was going to launch an investigation into this,'' Twiss said. ``He was saying, `How dare the Celtics with their proud tradition ever do this?' Then he said that we should have put Antoine (Walker) back into the game when we were down by just three points.'' </div>

Let's hope the moron who called this in saw last night's game and the pounding the second unit, who gained valuable experience in both the Cavs and Nets game at the end of the season, put on the Pacers. Maybe he'll shut up then and start looking at the real reasons the Cavs missed the playoffs, which have nothing to do with 1 game that the Cavs didn't even play in. I'm sure he wasn't complaining when we supposedly "laid down" for the Cavs benefit, the game before, was he? [IMG]

I'm completely disgusted by this and truly hope that this was just some whiny nut job looking for attention. [IMG] [IMG] God help that AG if he's stupid enough to actually try to pursue this. Although it would be nice to watch it get laughed out of court.

    Can you say ridiculous?

Seriously, even if the Celtics were trying to stick it to the Cavs, what is an AG going to do about it? If we want to lose games then it's our prerogative. Now that that's out of the way, isn't it obvious at this point that the Celtics have done nothing wrong here? They played the Cavs and the Nets equally. The whole thought is assanine because if we were out to screw anybody, it would be the Nets due to the history we've had with them.

It just goes to show that the world is filled with morons who have nothing better to do with their time but whine about how they were "screwed" and not step back and take a look at themselves. Usually when teams miss the playoffs, it has much more to do with their own doing than it does with a team that just so happens to be playing your competitor.

Wow. I`m like speechless. An NBA team would never do that and everybody should know that blowing big leads happens to alot of teams, its just the way it goes. The Celtics, one of the great legendary franchises in sports history, would never ruin a teams chance of making the playoffs. This guy is just looking for attention...

This was just an angry Cavs fan who needed someone to blame. They already went through the coach and the GM, they can't blame LeBron cause he did all he could and you can't fire the owner - that left the C's. Maybe now they'll see that stability with an NBA team is a good thing.
