Re: Cavs Wont Pick Up Luke Jackson's Option. The Morning Journal - With the impending signing of Drew Gooden and the addition of Scot Pollard, the Cavaliers have 16 players under contract. The team is also hoping to sign guard David Wesley, meaning that they will have to trim some players from their roster. The most likely cuts will be newly acquired guard Eddie Basden and guard Stephen Graham, both of whom have unguaranteed deals. However, the Cavaliers like Graham and would prefer to part with the likes of Ira Newble, Luke Jackson or Sasha Pavlovic, although team sources say no trades are in the works for any of these players. The Morning News reports that the team not pick up Jackson's fourth-year option by Oct. 31, making him an unrestricted free agent at the season's end.
Re: Cavs Wont Pick Up Luke Jackson's Option. Sadly another good college player who didn't traslate to the NBA. I'd still give him a chance though, his rookie year with his back injury really stunted any development and transition to NBA. Be cool to see him reunited in Seattle with Ridnour possibly.

Re: Cavs Wont Pick Up Luke Jackson's Option. He'll find his way at the end of someone else's roster, but he has really dissapointed me. He looked pretty good coming out of college, and I know he had had problems with injuries, but I at least expected him to be a regular in the rotation by now. He can shoot though, and if Erick Piatowski can find himself on a roster still, Luke Jackson can as well. I wish him the best, and I hope he improves.

I think everone was high on Luke Jackson but I know a team that is dieing for Luke and the Cavs almost got the trade off that would of sent Jackson to N.Y for Steve.F.I wanted that trade so bad but N.Y throught about it and declined at the last sec.Once he is free they will take him.

He would get time on Bobcats and Blazers if he was traded there and would have a little time to develop. And in Seattle, I think the style of play they play up there would fit him better than in Cleveland.

If they had gotten Eric Snow and Luke Jackson, they would have had two role players. The Knicks have too many stars. I think they should have done the deal just for the hell of it. Maybe might not have lost so many games because Stephon would be able to hold the ball on his own.. I don't know... Whatever. I don't feel like debating.
