MVP- Paul Pierce No doubt about this one, Pierce led the team all season and never gave up on the team that most had wrritten out of the playoffs came back and made it over according to many "the most dangerous team in the East" the Cavs. MIP- Mark Blount Blount had a great second half of the season and has been one of the most consitent Celtics this year. He along with Mihm is the only rebounder and shot blocker the team has. He is going to get his money this summer as a free agent. I Love ....Award- I Love Jiri Welsch Welsch started the season with a bang and looked to be a top contender for MIP. But with Ricky Davis's arrival Welsch lost playing time and points. But this was his first real season and he played well. He gave it everything every night and he stepped up when Pierce struggled. Most Impressive Player- Brandon Hunter Hunter is a rebounding machine, in limited minutes(406) this season Brandon Hunter got more offensive rebounds(50) than Walter McCarty a 6'10 forward who played 1900 minutes. Also per 48 minutes Hunter averaged 14 rebounds and 15 points more rebounds than any Celtic.
MVP- Paul Pierce Only psychiatric care would preclude me from argueing that one. MIP- Mark Blount Even if we end up losing him, there's no doubt his game has blown up since OB's departure. I Love ....Award- I Love Jiri Welsch Nope, I love Chucky Atkins for this one. He's brought some order to our offense and that was not easy to do. For that, I gotta find a way to give him props. Alot of people will tout Jiri and deservedly so. Most Impressive Player- Brandon Hunter The Bear could be special, but I'm going with the "Prime Objective" - Ricky Davis. He's simply explosive. Once he calms down a little and really gets the flavor of destroying teams with that killer pull-up jumper of his and this team gets back to playing real defense, this kid is going to be the undisputed #2 around here. Right now, I'm fully enjoying all the lobs he's tossing down. They come to him effortlessly sometimes. Reminds me of K-Mart, in that particular regard.
MVP- Paul Pierce MIP- Mark Blount I Love ....Award- I enjoyed watching Pierce Most Impressive Player- Brandon Hunter Never heard of him before but those stats you gave are great!
MVP- Paul Pierce How can anyone argue this? Pierce is the Boston Celtics. MIP- Jiri Welsh, from what I saw he has really improved his game, but adding Davis most likely wasted another talent because he won't get minutes. I Love ....Award- I love watching Ricky Davis try to do things like through-the-legs-dunks and missing them haha thats funny, he is one of the most entertaining players in the league. Most Impressive Player- Chucky Atkins- He has played exceptionally well in a place where IMO I didn't think he could succeed at all.
MVP- Paul Pierce No doubt in my mind who deserves this. Was told by management that they did not WANT to make the playoffs and what does he do? He leads the team to the playoffs when many thought didn't have a chance in...well you know the rest. Hagrid said it, if you pick anyone else other than PP for this one.....You Crazy! MIP- Mark Blount I don't know much about this team but this guy has certainly upped his value on the free agent market due to his increased play in Boston. He doubled his averages in points, rebounds while averaging a little over a block a game. Probably will get more than what he's worth in the FA market. I Love ....Award- I Love Marcus Banks This kid has only one gear and it's pretty damn fast. Seems erratic at times but those minutes I have seen him play against the Raptors have impressed me to say the least. He has exciting speed and he seems to be able to break down defences easily when he's on. Can hang in the air and wait for defencse to commit before shooting. Needs to work on his shooting to be more effective on the court. Overall this kid is exciting to watch. Most Impressive Player- Brandon Hunter Again I'm just going on hearsay and what I see when they play the Raptors. From what I saw, this kid is a beast on the boards. Came out in the second half of the season and established himself. At 6'7 and 260 pounds he's a little undersized but that doesn't mean he can't rebound.
