Hey i found these rankings and here they are http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/...ers-table_x.htm After reading this article i am really wondering if the writer accidentally put the list upside down because Shaq is number 10. While yao is number 9. With Boris Diaw number 1.

In 2001 it had Camby rated higher than Shaq. It's stupid for a couple reasons. First, it assumes each category can be properly measured on a scale of 1, 2, 3, etc. It doesn't incorporate the extent to which a player is better than the next best player in a category. Second, it assumes each category has equal value, which doesn't make sense either. So, if player A averaged 100 ppg and 12rpg, and player B averaged 4 ppg and 12.1 rpg, then they'd both be rated the same based on those two categories. It's so ludicrous, it's not even worth getting worked up about. Here's current rankings based on PER -- box score statistical production, adjusted for court-time and team's pace <div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><br/>RankPlayerGPMinPER<br/>1Yao M4434.325.87<br/>2S O'neal4530.024.69<br/>3C Bosh6539.623.46<br/>4T Duncan6335.223.11<br/>5P Gasol6439.222.25<br/>6Z Ilgauskas6429.922.06<br/>7J O'neal3535.821.17<br/>8M Okur6435.119.83<br/>9A Mourning6020.219.31<br/>10B Wallace6336.118.23<br/>11C Frye6224.518.04<br/>12B Miller6137.117.72<br/>13B Diaw6434.917.17<br/></div> That's off of ESPN's website, and includes PFs who play significant minutes at C. I included Yao, Shaq, and Jermaine myself, because they didn't have enough games to qualify.
Oh, at first when i read it i just thought the writer published the rankings upside down because it made a lot more sense like that. It seemed like they put the best centers at the bottom and the worst to non centers at the top.
that is the dumbest piece of trash i have read this year. How can you take one player's injury this season (ie. Yao's foot) and then deem him not durable? Yao has been one of the most durable players in the league. Also taking into account win %? Since when is Boris Diaw the reason the Suns are winning? Without Nash and Marion, the Suns would be the Atlanta Hawks. And with Yao being out, that affected his durability score and the win % score. How does that produce an accurate result? This guy needs his computer taken away from him so he doesn't write more trash like this in the future..
