<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO, Nov. 6 -- Washington Wizards centers Etan Thomas and Brendan Haywood were involved in a physical altercation last Thursday in which the two traded punches at Verizon Center, according to two team sources. One source, who requested anonymity because the team was trying to keep the incident private, said Thomas was angry over comments made by Haywood's agent, Andy Miller, on Oct. 30. Miller was critical of Coach Eddie Jordan's decision to select Thomas as the starting center over Haywood, believing Jordan chose Thomas out of personal animosity toward Haywood rather than performance. "My concern is that this is based on personal issues rather than professional ones," Miller said the day of the decision. Thomas felt that Miller's comments were a slight toward him, he approached Haywood and threw the first punch once the argument escalated, a source said. According to the source, Haywood responded to the punch by body-slamming Thomas to the ground, tearing out at least two of Thomas's dreadlocks in the process. The two players were separated by teammates and the altercation ended. Thomas and Haywood declined to comment Monday night after losing to the Magic. Neither player was suspended and it was unclear whether any fines were assessed. Both players were in uniform for Monday night's game at Orlando.</div> Link This is pathetic, Haywood and his agent needs to shut up or get out of here. They can't keep causing trouble about Haywood's playing time. If they can't see why Etan Thomas got the starting job in the first three games, then they're blind.
Haywood is really making himself look awful here lately. He thinks he deserves to start, but hasn't performed. He's mad at Thomas, but Thomas is only doing what he's supposed to do. His agent is talking smack about the coach when it's the player who's the problem. He's not making himself an attractive trade propsect for other teams. Somebody had better wake him up.
I've never been a fan of either of these players, but one of them has to go. If it were up to me, I'd keep Thomas, but not because he's better, because he isn't. He just fits our offensive style more. Haywood is more for a half court team.
Thomas has been playing a lot better than I've seen Haywood play in the last 3 years, so I don't know what Haywood's problem is.
i have said this before, Haywood is a bitch, he bitches and bithches about everything that doesnt go his way, get rid of him he's weak and immature, he reminds me of kwame brown when he was with the wiz accept more of a bitch
This is the second big man to act up under Eddie Jordan's watch. The first being Kwame, but Haywood's situation is getting out of hand. The Wizards need to deal him before more distractions take place. A lot of teams could use Haywood, and the Wizards can probably get back a servicable big man, expiring contract, and maybe a 2nd round pick or late 1st round pick in return.

Thomas is obviously out performing him, so his agent must really be high on something.

Haywood acted up about his playing time and he and Eddie Jordan had some arguments.
