    Champions League - Power Rankings

Internazionale move up to fourth in the European Power Rankings as they prepare to host Barcelona in their Champions League semi-final.

Following their 2-0 win over Juventus last Friday, the Italian champions switch places with Bordeaux in our guide to domestic and European form among sides that have been involved in this season's European competitions.

Barca remain top despite drawing at Espanyol and Real Madrid and Manchester United both winning.

Inter's title rivals Roma retained top spot in Serie A following their victory in the Rome derby that stretches their unbeaten league run to 24 games and finally drags them into the top 20.

The other Champions League semi-finalists, Lyon and Bayern Munich both move up the table by two and three places respectively.

Lyon have succeeded where Bordeaux have failed by maintaining their Ligue 1 title challenge as well as a lengthy European campaign, while Bayern's 7-0 win over Hanover at the weekend moves them up to 15th.

Two straight Premier League defeats have seen Arsenal slump two places to 10th, while Ajax's impressive form moves them up three places.

    Here's how it works speeds

    HOW IT WORKS

Scores are based on points per game in domestic league, Champions League and Europa games.

Domestic points per game are multiplied by the league coefficient - either 3.5, 4, 4.5 or 5 - with teams in stronger leagues getting more credit.

    League coefficients:

    5 - England, Italy, Spain.

4.5 - Germany, France, Portugal, Netherlands, Russia.

4 - Belgium, Greece, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Scotland, Romania.

3.5 - Cyprus, Switzerland, Israel, Denmark, Austria.

Champions League victories are counted as three points for a win. They are all multiplied by a coefficient of 5. Matches in the group stage and beyond are counted.

Europa League victories are counted as three points for a win. They are all multiplied by a coefficient of 4. Matches in the group stage and beyond are counted.

(*) Asterisked teams have been relegated from Champs League to Europa League and had their formulas adjusted to reflect the amount they have gained or lost in Europe since then.

    Example: Barcelona

84 points from 33 La Liga games = 2.55 points per game

    Multiplied by league coefficient of 5 - 2.55 x 5 = 12.73

19 points from 10 Champions League game = 1.90 points per game.

    Multiplied by Champions League coefficient of five - 1.90 x 5 = 9.50

    Total score = 12.73 + 9.50 = 22.23
