The BEARS have cut QB CHRIS CHANDLER last night. He was asked to take a pay cut or just be cut and apparently he chose to leave, so we will either be looking for a FA QB to fill his spot or take one in the second round of the draft. Another young QB in the draft is scary. We have a second year player in GROSSMAN and QUINN who has not made many passes in his NFL career yet either. Maybe we could use a VET for this position, just not KORDELL! I am wondering if maybe we have something up our sleeve as we cleared our cap back to 3 million with the departure of CHANDLER. Will we go after SAPP, offer more to SALAAM, are we waiting for something? We will see I suppose. GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!
I have just seen where the BEARS are trying to "woo" OGUNLEYE from the DOLPHINS by trading GIBSON and a possible late round draft for his services. I hear that he is not to happy with the way the DOLPHINS have treated his offseason negotiations. We could definatly use him as he could fill DANIELS spot, whom we let go and GIBSON would be a backup now since we got TAIT from KC. I hope this deal works out for us and will keep an eye on it. Maybe the CHANDLER money will help us out.
i think it is great deal gibson and late round pick. even if ogunleye stinks it up we have 2 young ends to take up the slack, though alex brown is limited in run stopping ability
We are not done yet with the O- line. I have seen where we will host RUBEN BROWN from the BILLS today at HALAS HALL and we are still hoping to sway SALAAM from DENVER. These could be big pickups for us and help our line alot, we could only hope anyways.
